I can see it now, Hunter is gonna come back from learning how to think right therapy, and wipe everyone out.

Everyone then runs to sign up for anger management therapy.

And he and Trey are gonna chuckle.

We all know having video of what Hunter did has made it a lot worse for him and the promoter.

With having half of the drag racing world watching on live feed. There isn't much going to get past people now days and with social media it's easy to blow it up. Wonder if this will have some of the promoters get away from live streaming. If there wasn't any video of it there would of never been nothing said about this and the promoter wouldn't be getting bad publicity.

Not saying Hunter didn't get what he deserved, cause I think he did. Just thinking about how this world has changed and it's even getting into drag racing now.

Randy is no phony lying, crying, denying democrat.

Just because there was a live feed, he didn't treat it any different than he would no live feed.

Randy is a racer, he's seen it all.

What did you expect, a song and dance?

Randy didn't put on a clown costume for the audience. Respect

Keep talking. Publicity, is publicity.

This is 100% correct! The internet would not have been blown up near the way it has, if it was handled correctly when it happened!

100% Wrong again, racers wanna know WHY.

WHY a racer of this caliber would go postal on the drag strip.

WHY? The back story.

It's already been covered at nauseam, Randy was lied to, told the steering wheel came off.

AS I stated in earlier post I was at the Million. I had a great time as I expected I would. The staging lanes moved right along. The tree was spot on, and the track was good. The million crew did a great job and I will go again next year. I hope this will be a lesson for the youngster involved and glad no one got hurt. I guess everyone could say that have had some problems when they were just learning also. I hope this does not put a black eye on this race just because of a youngster. It was only one pair down where terrible judgement and luck no one got hurt. The punishment has been given. The little tike has a year to think about it. That will be a long year for him.

There's one person here running a smear campaign on the Million and Folk.

You can know this by his coercing / threatening sponsors of the event.

Actually I do know Randy and he is a nice guy. I do think he made the wrong call on this one.

But with that being said nobody but the people involved knows what went on in the meeting at the trailer that night. We don't know what was told to Randy or what Randy even done. All we do know is a lot people don't think it was handle right because he was still racing. But to be honest even if Randy kicked him out for the weekend I don't know it would still been enough for most people. A lot of people have never dealt with anything like this on track incident and they don't know what the punishment should be.

I think what was dealt out is fair. I'm sure hunter will be racing somewhere next year. Just maybe not anything tied to NHRA. I hope he learns from his mistakes and grows from it. Cause he is one heck of a racer.

If he is racing anywhere next year, he don’t get it and then the NHRA should tack on another year and he’s just one of several young men under 30 that are great racers.

Listened to Luke and Jeds podcast today. Jed asked for feedback and comments. Jed is a friend of mine that I think I have only met a few times, but a dang good guy nonetheless. Just wanted to pass on my feedback…. Feedback from a guy that has retired from racing but still try’s to keep up.

Jared,
I don’t disagree with anything you, Luke, or Troy said. I do think that there was a lack of discussion on the antics on the starting line and too much emphasis on the “whomping” after the finish line that potentially created the situation. I agree with Troy that it is or could be disrespectful. What I don’t think you guys spent enough time on in this (and the last episode) on was the games that these guys play on the starting line and how it potentially created the problem.

Turning the wheel to flicker the bulb is not new. It’s been around since at least 2001 (that I have seen with my own eyes), maybe way before.
