Feeling a little like stiring the pot here.

Should hunter be banned for attempting to crash into/fake crashing into another driver after he lost a round and got mad?

I'll bet there is a little backstory to this between the two drivers, but that is irrelevant.

What he did should have immediate and serious consequences

There absolutely should be some severe consequences such as kicked from the event and potentially future events put on by the Folks. There’s no excuse for what he did.

So after this, does anyone else get the feeling that the big dollar bracket races are pretty much a free for all and out of control? I mean basically no tech, no safety equipment enforcement and no consequences for idiotic actions.

Just money hungry promoters saying as long as you pay your entry fee you're good to go.

I haven't attended one, but I'm thinking the Biondo flings might be an exception.

I'm also wondering how long it will be till there is an argument/altercation where guns will be involved......

You pretty much nailed it. This is a very sad situation when a promoter just looks the other way on this. At the very least he should have been suspended from this race.

Aside from the fact that there was no repercussion or penalty for what he did. If he wasn’t sort of a name in the racing world this would have gone a completely different way.

When he posted his apology there were quite a few saying what a class move it was to man up. LOL A person who has class wouldn’t have done that in the first place. None of us are perfect but wow this was way over the line.

Anything is possible. Didn't NHRA do something when KC Pesnell was kickin butt while he was under age?

He needed to be told to leave...period. For some folks, there would not have been any need for help from any "event officials". Intentionally cross into the other lane to try and hit a competitor?! And he is still racing there?!! He's lucky somebody didn't step up and stop him from being able to even stand. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

If what I heard is true then I absolutely agree with you.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Trey is a good kid, hate to see him caught up in drama, when that isn't what he paid to get in the race for.

I have talked to him some and he does seem like a good kid. But he made a very bad decision in the heat of the moment and there should be consequences for it.

I have hard time believing if it was a every day Joe that done that to one of the guys in the click. He would of been showed the gate. But a lot of these races when the big rollers roll through the gate and drop 10k plus on entries. They can get away with a whole lot more than the normal person would. Not saying all these guys are bad. I know a lot of them and they are good guys. But there are some that will do anything and get away with it. On and off the track.

It also sound like there was a fight at the ticket booth yesterday. They stopped the race and called for smoke to come and help.

One thing I think about the big racing. These promotors need to figure out how to make it fair across the board for everyone. Even a race like this needs the locals racers and average racers to show up to make the big payouts. If these guys keep seeing stuff like this I can see some of them not going. JMO
