2 days later and HP is still there racing after admitting he lied and did infact willfully attempted to wreck his competitor. The promotor did nothing and still has done NOTHING! Nuff said

And yes, hunter should be banned for a few years at minimum. And NHRA has that ability even if the promoter doesn't have the balls since these races are run at NHRA sanctioned tracks.

So you have a driver who intentionally hit another car after he lost and has admitted it and some think no big deal?

That is part of the problem some think that it does not matter what you do as long as you win.

I understand an accident and we all accept that risk. Still if you run into me intentionally then I will consider it assault with a deadly weapon and deal with it as such.

If all this is true then I think he should be banned for life same as if he shot at someone.

I will also say when you play dirty tricks to win then do not get pissed if it bites you. The other guy may have tricks to.

The whole thing is a mess. It seems that just about every one of these big dollar races has one event that draws a lot of attention to the lack of rules and/or the enforcing of them.

If you are going to play starting line games at these events, you better know your competitor, cause sometimes when you mess with the wrong person it can come back to bite you at the other end.

As a former track manager and NHRA tech official, if a car is reported to have a problem with something as important as steering, then the car should be inspected by the head of tech before any decisions are made or the car is allowed to further compete at the event. If there was no problem found with the car, then it is up to the race manager to decide how to handle the situation.

It's a sad state of affairs when a race promoter makes the decision to allow someone who purposely hit another racers car on the racing surface to continue to compete at the event.

It depends on Veruca Salt, if I believed Veruca learned a lesson, I might not throw her out.

I think these types of things can work themselves out, without government intervention.

If they're making excuses, like people are saying in here about Gulliti, ya gotta throw her out, maybe permanently.

Trey rips the throttle on everyone past the stripe when his win light is on, his dad does too. Nothing wrong with it.

Just don't let that happen. It's their trademark.

If you think it’s ok because nothing bad happened then I guess you think anybody arrested for drunk driving who didn’t have anything bad happen should also be let off the hook. Waiting for something bad to happen before you take action will open the door wide open for lawsuit when something bad does happen.

Nobody likes a liar. People can tolerate a lot and forgive a lot, but to lie when there's a video evidencing the incident, people won't tolerate insulting their intelligence. It's gas lighting.

Randy probably told him, you gotta tell the Truth, or you gotta go permanently.

That's what I would've done if he were a long time participant, and I knew his parents personally.
