NOBODY associated with this race...promoter, sponsors, media, competitors, etc. will publicly denounce this incident and disassociated them/their company from this race and racer, it's all about the MONEY! That said, car counts are already down this year and all racers do is talk and complain to each other and 99% of them will back competing at this race next year

Meanwhile, my money is green and good everywhere, Randy Folk nor Kyle Riley will ever see any of it.

I met and talked to Randy Folk quite a bit at the Million last year. I like him and the entire Folk family immensely. But IMO, Hunter should have been thrown out immediately.

What we do is dangerous enough as it is without having someone intentionally trying to wreck you on the track. There is no excuse or place for this behavior in our sport.

Chris Gulliti is actually publicly posting, blaming the other driver for throwing a whacka whacka after the finishline, which forced hunter to get mad and abruptly intentionally make a hard turn into the other lane and run into the other guy.

And yes, hunter should be banned for a few years at minimum. And NHRA has that ability even if the promoter doesn't have the balls since these races are run at NHRA sanctioned tracks.

If you are as good a racer as Hunter and play games and taunt me at the starting line and then lose….damn right I should be able to give you some scotties in taunting him back and he should be man enough to take it. Hunter has no business on a track in a car like this if he can’t control himself period.
As for just blowing this off, that is so wrong. Our number one job is to come home safely to our families from each race. Hunter violated this in the worst way and should have a serious consequence for it. Not a life time ban but absolutely a consequence that will deter him or anyone else from ever doing this again.
Doing nothing leaves the consequence Decision to the other racer….in that case I would have put a steel bar upside the carb and hood scoop of his car several times…would this be right no….that is why the authority at the track should handle it immediately and decisively.

meanwhile nothing entices me to take my $ to any big money race no matter the promoter.
