As some of us sit and freeze today, it is hard to think of global warming.

One aspect of global warming is how cold the northern hemisphere may become due to the change in the Gulf Stream due to influx of cold water from Arctic ice melts. Places like New York, London, and Paris may become frozen wastelands in the winter. Just because it is cold outside does not mean that global warming is not taking place.

This is not necessarily completely man made, but man is adding to it.

Weather:
The current state of the atmosphere with respect to wind, temperature, cloudiness, moisture, pressure, etc. at any given moment.

Climate:
The composite or generally prevailing weather conditions of a region, as temperature, air pressure, humidity, precipitation, sunshine, cloudiness, and winds, throughout the year, averaged over a series of years.

Climate change:
Any long-term significant change in the weather patterns of an area; climate change can be natural or caused by changes people have made to the land or atmosphere.

When a stable system is perturbed it frequently goes thorough a series of wide oscillations before stabilizing at a new set point. Climate is the set point and weather is the daily oscillations around that set point.

It is hypothesized that a shut down or change in the North Atlantic arms of the Thermohaline Circulation sometimes called the North Atlantic Conveyor Belt system is what caused the climatic change know as the Little Ice Age; a very brief time period (1550 to 1850) when people could walk across New York harbor during the winter and Ice Fairs were held on the Thames River in London.

It is further hypothesized that fresh water melt from Greenland could cause an abrupt shutdown in this system. A brief period (1300Y~) know as the Younger Dryas has been studied and is thought to have been preceded by a period of warming that changed the Thermohaline system.

So it is not without precedent, that the current warming trend seen in world climate could lead to disruptions in or the shutdown of the thermohaline system leading to an abrupt cooling in areas of the world depended upon warm water brought there by the thermohaline system.

Don't confuse them with elementary science.

In much the same way the willfully ignorant, or the near terminally stupid, attack evolution by seizing on controversies having nothing to do with the overwhelming mass of evidence that point to and confirm evolution, we see the same tactics applied to climate change, in fact it seems many of these people are one and the same, attacking both of these well documented and evidenturaly supported theories.

The only problem with evolution is paleontologists have never found any evidence of species evolving! Species appeared, were on the earth for centuries in the same state with zero evolution and then suddenly disappeared!
Why do the supposed meteorological "scientists" have to exchange E-mails about "tricks" to fool people, destroy their supposed evidence and threaten to destroy results of their (experiments?) rather than accede to Freedom Of Information Requests???????????????
