The point I made and you clearly did not understand is that it takes a LOT more energy to cause water to change state, i.e. thaw, not change temperature, just change state, you know like the three states of mater, solid, liquid or gas, there are other states of matter but we will stick to the common ones you might have some chance of grasping.

To change the temp of a gram of water by one degree Celsius takes about 4.184 Joules of energy otherwise known as a (1) calorie, this is the standard definition of a calorie. That same gram of water simply to change state, transition from ice to water, takes over 79 times as much energy input, precisely 79.72 calories for each and every gram of ice. This is the heat of fusion of water. You must add or remove that amount of energy to or from every gram of ice or water to change its state, solid to liquid no change in temp. It goes from zero degree ice to zero degree water.

I can sit on the back porch when it's this hot without getting wringing wet with sweat, in the shade for the duped boobs! If it gets above 85 in Michigan you're soaked with sweat unless there is a good breeze.

How hot does it Las Vegas you ask? I have a 87 Monte Carlo SS all original. It gets so hot that even if I let the car sit for only a few hours, it "boils" the gas out of the carburetor and I have to crank it a while to refill the carb before it'll start!!!
