Brian, My vote is to fix it, you obviously have been happy with it's performance for 2 decades.

Post the combo or Pm it to me, as it is now and let’s see if we can’t pick it up at least a tenth and 1 mph.

I have the parts list of what was in it right here on my desk. It's barely readable since it's dot printed.

Well I ran it 2 or 3 season's and it was good to me.

GM GEN V block, Sharp rockers. 411 Moroso pan, Mallory dizzy, Cloyes chain. Made 817 on the R & M pump.

Dave Reher and I had a conversation about this at the Vegas Nats one time. They changed to the Dart block the next year as the GM block became hard to get. Going to the Dart heads over the BB-2 saved them 12 hours of prep time. I used Lemon's Headers on it.

The Williams carb forced me to learn about carbs. Not saying there was anything wrong with the carb but, Williams lacked people skills and I lacked carb skills.

I'm not sure what Brian and Butch have done to this engine since I sold it.

I would not hesitate to use another R & M engine.

Harland sharp rockers. Now has the SV1 alky carb and is a 509 now. It made 831-750 last time on the dyno. Other then that its the same. Ditto on the Reher-Morrison engines.

With your current heads, I suggest staying with the 4.00" stroke and boring the block to 4.570 for 522 cubes or 533 if you can safely bore this block to 4.600. this 4" stroke combo will accelerate quicker than the 4.25" stroke 565.

AFAIK that block is restricted to a .030 over or 4.500. I think it may be the block used in the ZZ502 engines. It may go more but, I wouldn't try that without sonic testing.

One of the heads had a heli coil in a valve cover hole.
