Ed, can you post some pics of your Jones pump setup? Are you running a cooler with a fan on that system? I have a process that I use to cool trans between rounds that seems to work fairly well but always looking to improve my program.

Tony, yes. The cooler is mounted directly below the radiator and the Jones trans pump is mounted horizontally bellow the rear panel under the wing.

New complete turn key 4 link dragster for my wife, making the move from an 11 second nova that she did very well in.

Modifying the lift in my stacker to hold 2 dragsters, new smooth, painted trim covers for the trailer. Just did a major overhaul on the trailer during the lock down, these are the remaining things that didn't get finished. Oh and building a cover for the tongue mounted hydronic pump and ram.

New to us toter home continuing upgrades, repairs. Gotta mount the flat screen in the side compartment, fix a leveler ram that probably has a blown out sealor valve.

My dragster, was 100% frsh at the beginning of 2020, since we only went out 3 times, it has less then 40 runs on it, so nothing to do there, oh wait repaint scoop.

Wifes nova, nothing. It went to the 9th round at Kyle's big race last time out, she's ready.

Those are Bias tires. Thought you were strictly Radials on the Bird??

I was. The 32/13.5 Hoosier Radial have been run on this car since birth IIRC. Times have changed, the bird is my son's car now and he wants to bracket race it at big $ races before and after the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series starts and ends. He wanted bias slicks on it for bracket racing. Made/making some more changes for him, some might crash this website. Shake head

Want to upgrade the front suspension on the ol Firebird as it's a bouncy mess and maybe replace the 15+ yr old Caltrac rear springs and bars. 9" rears got over 1000passes , probably should change the R&P too.
Also have about 600 runs on that engine combo and it's still going strong but might be guilted into changing the springs and lifters just to be safe.
Have to finish up Denny Macs Firebird body and paint and get the body off my 72 Blazer and blast the frame, hoping to get back on my 68 firebird street car too.
Also have a 69 Camaro I'll be building if anyone wants a nice roller......

Other than the new trailer thing, I'm going to try this:

I wanted to try some billet stuff and see if I could improve on my calibration. The Last time I actually bought a new carb was 2012. Everything else I've built from scratch.

Putting in a shop 30 x 40 x 15 for motorhome and race car. Concrete being poured next week.
Putting on AFCO Double adjustable shocks up front. New autometer electric fuel pressure gauge for in car readings.
New aluminum accu-bond driveshaft MW.
Full Rebuild on engine new morel lifters, springs, new ATI Super Damper (pistons and cam change TBD) cleaned and painted frame in front while motor is out.
Starting line enhancer added for box racing (easily removed)
New vacuum pump. Rebuild carb, Install Weld in bungs in headers for AFR sensors (gotta buy gauge and sensors)
Trans and converter was rebuilt by Abruzzi 40 to 50 passes ago so gonna leave that alone minus filter and fluid change.
Switching to Allison Transynd fluid from ATI Super F. New converter bolts and nord locks.
New vibration isolators on radiator and collector extension frame mounts.
Scale the car out.
Would like to do more but that pesky budget gets in the way.
Truly blessed to have the opportunity to do these things and participate in this sport.

Here's the 2 shyt boxes:

The 68 got dressed up with a new Dominator for our annual Thanksgiving races & our last 2 points races, both got cancelled. It will have to be used next years racing. When a schedule comes out, hopefully.

The 80 is gutted & waiting on fiberglass front-end & dash. Then goes to shop for install with 8.50 cert. chromoly cage. Got 2 aluminum seats going in along with a chromoly steering stem. The radiator core support will be done with chromoly tubing. Hoping to have it on the track sometime in 2021 unpainted with the back-up motor in it.
