Have had a CSR pump on since 99 on mine and a new one purchased then still in the box. It’s on its second motor. Purchased a Meziere last year and it’s not needed yet. I’m not an expert but I would say nothing wrong with mine. ![]() California Screaming! Raceless in California!

Did you get some COVID 19 with that CSR pump? Plenty of Chinese parts there

I also have a CSR on one car and a Meziere on the other. Both working fine. Congrats again on your second place finish this year with no first round losses. I’d call winning more rounds in your first race than the know it all’s two cars did for the entire points season doing shyt.

The old back-up CSR water pump was installed today in our 68 Camaro for this years racing. The pump is 10-15 years old. 1980 Camaro Taking the Best Working Small Tire Shyt Box & making it Greater Than Before! 3000 lbs. Pump Gas 436

Reviving an old thread. My old CSR has been rebuilt at least once, maybe twice. I switched to 16v this year and a new car. Have had to run the fan pretty consistently now. Wasn't sure if I had a pump issue or if 16v invites cavitation with these pumps. Any thoughts? Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

My CSR is ancient and anodizing is faded but still works great. If it fails I will replace it with a BMW electric water pump and PWM to control it. Advantage to that is moves a lot of water, can control speed of it to warm it up faster and or keep it cool. Plus they are designed to last a long time at high water temps and are cheap. Much better solution. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. Bucky I can’t say whether or not cavitation is an issue but I do run my Meziere on 16 volts and don’t notice can running any extra long time unless I walk away and forget to turn it off.

I don't think you would have a cavitation issue unless you run a really small inlet hose. If you are using a stock size 1 3/4 you should be good to go. a -12 or smaller maybe but still doubt it would. Speaking of CSR water pumps...... Does anyone happen to have one they would sell? I have been on a waiting list for a motor for over a year, and mine will be lucky to make it the rest of the year. I have the older one for BBM but the electric motors will interchange off BBF and BBC.

I don’t have any pumps but I can turn one around pretty quickly, a day or two depending on when you send it. Or I would replace it with a Meziere if it was meThis message has been edited. Last edited by: green1,

I took 2 motors and made a good one 2 years ago or I would have one to send you. I also sent one to CSR too and nobody there knows where it got to... Are they really still in business? I see Ed says they aren't. When I call, the ladies that answer the phone repeat the same story every time. Should be getting the new motors this week.....You are on the list, I will call you when they come in....Bla bla bla. I have my pump body customized with sending units, fittings, and -10 lines. Its going to be a PITA to change to a Meziere.

My remote water pump did cavitate on 16 volts. I bought a stepdown box and it runs great now. I have run an Aqua Tiger pump in the past (still my spare) but now use a Dedenbear. Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right. Here I am.......

Not water pumps! And right on cue my pump died the 4th pass yesterday. I shouldn't have said anything..... Edit: I pulled mine apart yesterday and there is a copper wire resistor on the board that broke loose. Soldered it and its back up and running. If I can get through the rest of the year I will pull it and send it to Green1 to rebuild. This message has been edited. Last edited by: moparacer,
