You're a POS Ed, you prove it every time you open your mouth and lie.

I'm no felon Ed and no one contacted the block and you know it, so this makes you the drama queen. The lying POS drama queen.

Yeah, Ok Ed I'm a felon LoL. Walk up my driveway at night dressed in ANTIFA garb. It'll be the quickest way for everyone to find out what my current rights are.

Typical POS lefty Ed. Anytime lefty's can't make a logical case for their claims, they resort to lying.

Don't matter how you vote Ed. You got lefty written all over your deeds, same as Bradenton.

Ed, instead of being a POS lying lefty, make a case for carrying all these parts around Eh?

You're diverting from your illogical claims of needing all these parts in your trailer because you're a Pro racer, and not a local racer.

of course you "can" but should you is the question.

Again, send your engine to any of the nationally known race engine builders for a freshen and tell them you want to reuse your MLS gaskets. Didn't think of that and see what they say.

You only think in these terms of nationally known engine builders because it's all you know. You don't build your own powerplant, I do build my own.

I say I re-use them and you can't show a single nationally known engine builder with a comparable car as mine, that has dipped in the 5's N/A on a 10 x 28 bias tire.

So who's experience level is practical and who's experience level, between the two of us, is second hand?

You have no practical experience to even post an opinion here.

My point is; if I hadn’t taken the gasket apart to clean it I would have never seen it. So at 250 per set yeah I might re use one time. Yes they are custom gaskets fit to the bore, valve notch and thickness. Nothing left on the table.

cone killer, there you go again, making your baseless claims that are not only a lie but more importantly no one cares about but you.

Mikey, fyi, the majority of serious bracket and class racers have their engines built by professionals including the world champ you claim to be friends with, not some schmuck assembling junk in his garage next to his double wide. They ain't putting their name and reputation on a freshen up where the owner wants to save $150.

You don't see them in here babbling on topics they have no practical experience, like you.

Try making a real case for your own claims instead of an illogical case, based on what everyone else does, when they're not here pretending to know something, like you are.

I know what I know and have done and what I know is I don't reuse MLS head gaskets nor recommend it and neither do the many professional race engine builders I know and/or have done work for me.

New Cometic head gaskets despite the old pair only having about 100 passes on them and intake gaskets too. There's my practical experience cone killer NahNahTounge

Ok, so you know what you're told. Of course any engine builder including me, would prefer to use a new set of head gaskets, on a new engine.

Not for the reasons you assume though.

It's the same as professional transmission builder assemble transmissions on the safe side (pressure, number of clutches).

The question is can it be done, has anyone here put used head gaskets back into service.

The answer is, sure why not.

BBC
First MLS gasket I used was a Felpro. They used some kind of coating around water ports. That stuff stayed on the block and head so never reused. Then I started using Cometic and could get 2-3 uses from one if I copped coat sprayed before using. 15:1 4.50” bore
