| We got a buy one get one on firestones once. I swear they lost air between fire up and backing up from burnout. Almost carried air tank to starting line and re-air the tire before stagging. Crowd enjoyed the 1/8 mile burnouts I had Rickie do at a match race to get rid of them.

| Except at holding air, same with their spin off, Phoenix, good tire but doesn’t hold air. |

Yes they were....Bert Thomas was the Firestone man in charge at the big events... F-30's or F-9's.....14x32's My Firestones were never leakers like M/T's..... They did go away though after not a ton of runs....and RT's went with them.... |

| Every tire I have run on my Nova (Goodyear, M/T or Hoosier) the sidewalls always wear out with plenty of tread left on them. When the 60 starts to move and it throws up strange RT's, its time to change them.

| Agree, sidewalls are gone long before the wear holes. |

Some combo's stress the sidewalls much more than others. Gearing, weight and converter all play a role here. I have heard some swap sides with their tires every XX runs, I never have and I am not a fan of this either. I put just over 300 runs on a set of MT 3197's with no issues on my RED. New tires changed nothing with regards to RT's or 60's. And ya there wasn't much wear hole left either! |

| Clearly Al has this tire figured out better than Everyone my son has spoken to who puts between 60-150 passes on these tire with ETs that vary from 4.30s to .70s. Some say it’s like a switch was flipped and the 60s immediately go away. Others have said their tires won’t stand up after demounting. All I know is we moved .02 in 4 passes on Sunday with about 110 passes on them, which is at least 65 fewer passes then we put on the Hoosier C1550 |
