Win big at them casinos Brian... I'm not much on casinos. May have something to do with not wanting to part ways with my money so easily... Then again, why the heck do I enjoy racing so much? Seems I happily part ways with my money easy enough at the track, LOL Wink ...

Parts are supposed to be here tomorrow. May have time Thursday to work on the car. Forgot Sunday is Mothers Day, soo now I need to figure out something fun that will let my wife know she's special and appreciated. May keep me from the racing I had planned this weekend, but she's worth it.

Hey Fern, assuming I don't tear anything up between now and then, I may make it out to Farmington at the end of the month for the Classic Gear Jammers race... Hope all is well over there.

We've lived in the Las Vegas area since 1988. We gamble about once a week with $100 dollars of disposable money; when that's gone, we are too. It's something we keep in check, but we do see too many that don't keep it in check!

I guess you're talking about me. Yes, we quit when ahead! I usually gamble with the payout tickets. My most favorite was my Dirty ticket; I played on that ticket for over 4 months without adding any of my $$$ other than the initial $100. I had it as high as $500+ but it usually stayed around $300.

Yes, I name my tickets!

Oklahoma is littered with casinos now. There is one about 4 miles from my house. I will on occasion run down there and throw a couple $20s in the slot machines.

I have always had a rule that if I double my money I leave. $80 doesn't sound like much but if I did that every day it would add up. I mean if all you had to do was drive to and from for $80 who wouldn't do it? That is just my thoughts though. Once in a while I will take $100 or so to play. I haven't been there is at least a year and a half though.

One time I walked in, put $40 in a $5 machine. Spun once and hit for $1500. Couldn't leave fast enough. hahaha I am kinda cheap overall though.

My game was stud poker. In my opinion that requires some skill. I tried Texas Hold'em once and I don't have big enough cojonies to play that. O a big enough bankroll.

I'm planning on being there for that one. As I understand it, CCRA is racing in conjunction with the Mopars at The Rock show, Saturday and Sunday. I need to find out if they're planning 1/8 or 1/4 mile for CCRA. Just in case this fuel delivery issue doesn't straighten out with the new filter element that was delivered today.

Aside from a casino boat that used to be docked in Little River SC, I've never been in an actual casino. Board boat, eat dinner while heading out to international waters, then gamble til time to head back to shore. I did walk off with $60'ish more than I walked in with. Didn't care much for the atmosphere. The noise and lighting wasn't my cup 'o tea. 15-18'ish years ago, I used to play pretty regularly in some poker houses locally. Almost always Hold-em. Probably lost more $$$ than I won over those years, but enjoyed myself for the most part. Once it became less enjoyable, I found other things to occupy myself with. The less enjoyable feeling came about due to most of the "homes" having lack of security on site, super shady folks that started coming through, as well as a couple homes that were raided by criminals with guns and a couple police raids. Thankfully I was never on site for any of those problems. Never played craps, but did good at roulette at a charity ball once. Wasn't real money though, just cheesy prizes. LOL

BTR, what blinds did you play, just out of curiosity? I have a bit of an obsession with hold 'em but have never played in real life outside of a bachelor trip I went on last year with .05/.10 cent blinds. We all bought in for $10 bucks and I ran the table. I've played some online poker but it doesn't really have the same feel as the real deal.

Had the same thing happen several years ago Fern. Now I carry a spare 5 gallon container of gas. It's "Saved' me more than once. If that isn't enough the motor home is getting whatever race fuel I still have remaining.

I ain't walkin', or pushin".

I've played where blinds are set up a variety of ways. Some start low and increase on a timed basis. Typically, the tournament style games are that way. May start at $5, then after 1st hour doubles to $10 and so on, until there's an overall winner. Played several $100 blind games, which have always been the less fun for me. Always some idiot who comes in acting as though they have no regard for money or "poker etiquette", that overbids the pot on a frequent basis. Basically trying to run everyone out of the hand, buying the pot. It's nice to see them humbled with a big loss. Their puffy chest disappears quickly. That typically happens when it's not tournament style play. Losers can buy back in for whatever the minimum buy in is. I haven't played in many years. Any poker skills I may have had, have most definitely left the building... Never played online, but have friends who'd play 3-4 online rooms at one time.

I'm sure that wasn't on any bucket list for ya Fern. Not as inconvenient as your incident, but it happened to me the 1st time I drove this race car around the block after getting it back going a couple yeas ago. Forgot to top it off, and ran dry about half way around the block. Pretty embarrassing. Good neighbor came to my rescue. LOL... Speaking of fuel, I just spent $700+ on that this morning for the race car. OUCHIE.....

Rain is forcing me to take a work break today. Got home from fuel run and went to the garage to swap in the new fuel filter element. Back in the house now to clear my head and unscrew my brains. I've screwed something up apparently. Pulled the distributor a couple days ago to clean up some oil and replace the gasket, as I'm getting some oil collecting on the manifold there. Simple enough, right? Marked the housing and manifold, so it goes together correctly, and now the darn engine won't fire. Plenty of fuel and had a couple small carb fires as it's spitting up fuel. Verified I'm not 180* off, and checked other possibilities. Definitely something simple enough that I'll feel pretty stupid when I find it. I'll go back after finishing off the leftover ribs and a nap.

Todays still a great day... Cool
