Loving this weather Fern. I'll be complaining about the cold soon enough though. LOL. Race wise, I'm still on the sideline. Cometic didn't have head gaskets available when ordered. Said it would be a few weeks before they can get to making the ones I need. Based on their estimated timeline, Maybe a couple more weeks? Other than head gaskets, the engine is ready for reassembly. Might head out to Rockingham Friday or Saturday to watch the divisional. Been looking forward to this weekend all season long, so pretty bummed out by missing it. Hope the shots work out well for ya. I know folks who've had great results with them. I had 4 over a month period in 2017 and got a whopping 30 minutes relief after the 4th. First 3 mad zero difference. Sticking with ice and the PT exercises I've learned over 30'ish years for the foreseeable future... William Kilduff NHRA 2011 1970 Barracuda 1968 Camaro X2 1968 Caprice 1964 F100

Hey friends, miss you all. Can't remember where I last checked in, so the quick version is, my girlfriend and I bought a house a year ago, and it was a rush to get her out of her apartment, then we went on vacation to catch our breath, the holidays, then it was time to empty my house out to sell, all that fun stuff. We love it, and as things slow down we'll get ourselves organized and purge what needs purging. I hope you're all doing well. I'll be back! Happy Sunday y'all. Hope everyone's doing well. Went to Rockingham for NHRA D2 race Saturday. Well over 500 race cars on the property according to management. Place was packed. Saw lots of friends, met new to me folks and had lots of fun, even though not racing. Unfortunately they had 4 crashes that I'm aware of. Everyone's ok from what I've learned. One pipe rack crashed and rolled Friday, Jim Pancake crashed and rolled (3 times I believe) his 68 Hemi Dart. Not an original, but still a bad loss of a race car. 2 more crashes after I left Saturday, one being 2 Stockers at the end of the track. Haven't heard the cause, but no one has indicated anything about excessive braking, so I doubt that's the cause. One is a COPO Camaro, got loose, bounced off one wall to the other and unfortunately collected his opponent. Not aware of any specifics of the 4th crash. Lots of folks have been commenting on opinions as to why so many cars got outta shape. Speaking to folks I trust, the groove was really tight and if you got out of it by a little, you'd be in trouble. I watched track prep several times and it appeared they weren't shy with it, spraying plenty and dragging a wide section in each lane, so I'm really curious what was causing it. Lots of high & long wheelstands and the Hemi cars went under 8.20 several times. Jason Line ran 8.12, well under what the record was. Track super fast, but apparently quite finicky at the same time. Spoke to my engine guy there and pretty optimistic about having my engine back in another couple weeks. Really looking forward to getting it back. With what he's telling me, I'm pretty optimistic we'll be picking up a fair bit of ET with it. Y'all have a great week. I did get to Farmington and the place was packed. I did not take my car as I was to lazy to get up early. Looks like Piedmont will be open once more come next year and that is a good thing, Bob Harris will be managing it. Bracket racing will be back for sure he said. So the weekend had Galot, Rockingham, and Farmington packed which looks good for local racing. We will race someday William good lord willing. Going to the mountains tomorrow to look at leaves I guess. everyone stay safe
