Rubber meets the road & track tomorrow for a TnT & points races on Sat. & Sun.

Tomorrow we are testing the new radials & hoping to tighten up our 60' variance some more. Not sure if the new tires will help. We are also working on the extension side of the rear shocks. We had them pretty loose & going to tighten them up some. While I don't think I was topping them out but might have been hitting the tire to hard.

Also, for the new radials. I'm hoping to gain more mph in the 1/8th mile with the shorter tire & should raise the peak boost numbers higher also.

All these changes/testing is for my main goal of winning the Pro class at the Spring Fling Million. That's a tall order to fill!

I haven't lost my 2026 racing goals. I have pretty much stayed the course with a few changes & tweaks to my plan. I'm about a month away from the Spring Fling. I do feel a little behind on my plan & part of that is waiting on my new rocker arms so I can turn up the boost.

Went out 1st round today with a bad light.

Good thing is we're narrowing down our 60' variance. We got it within a .003 variance today with tightening the extension on the rear shocks. I made a small 2 click adjustment for tomorrow.

The main focus tomorrow will be on my lights!

Well had a somewhat wasted weekend .
Took 11 hrs , road works , to get to Mildura . Arrive and weather is pretty terrible , mid 30s C high humidity etc . Friday day 1 is worse . Mid 3000s DA , blazing sun , track temp was 150F + . Track prep guru said spray wont be working so was dragged only I believe . So it was marginal with it being 50/50 who got down track . I spun 3 times though I probably should have loosened rear extension earlier.
Saturday started better , at least had cloud cover and slightly cooler . Track was able to be sprayed . I readjusted rear shocks and went right down Broadway . Most people were also getting there .
Then during the qual round weather moved in . Lots of lightening . Then as q4 finished it landed . Heavy winds and rain .Eased off then came back . Pits started to flood , there was about 6" of water on the start line . Event cancelled . Bugger .
12 hr drive home Sunday in heavy rain for 5hrs from 4am .
Well I better enter for the Riverbend Nationals @ Dragway at the Bend in March , only a 15 hr drive . But is 1/4 mile and super smooth fast track .

Tex

Saturday a mixup in the lanes and my pair changed to Tyler Smith. We had a great race my .012 to his .041 for some reason the car laid over just before the shift light and I couldn't cover the dial 3 off to his dead 8 taking .008
Sunday .004 red dead 0

Well, it wasn't pretty but making it to the semi's not using a box in S/Pro feels pretty good! I screwed it up by a .001 breakout on the brakes taking the stripe by.029. This was against a 4.59 dragster. I did have him on the tree by.010

I made myself some luck with a .001 light in the 2nd round & that seemed to be the talk in the staging lanes: along with no delay box. Some people get why I'm not running with a box & a few just don't get why I don't put a box in; especially when I tell them I have a couple at home.

I have 1 TnT & 2 points races before the Spring Fling Million. With all the changes I've been making, I need to focus on baselining my adjustable switch & buckle down on my focus on the tree.

Happy Sunday kids. Raced yesterday,,,, or maybe I should say, tried to race? 1st run off the trailer, I was .01 green RT with a good solid run. Felt pretty good about myself. Next pass, -.06 red, then waited to shift into 3rd a bit too long and slowed way down. Still, 60' time was near identical, so I figured I had an idea on how to dial. That red light also brought me back into reality. Next pass was .100 green, (overcompensate from that red much? LOL), and couldn't get into 4th gear. When I pulled 4th, it kicked the shifter back and out of my hand. Ran tranny through all 4 gears afterward and felt fine, so I bought back in. Next pass I felt distracted as I staged, and proved that with a -.3 red RT. Had problems getting into 2nd gear this time, as it tried kicking the shifter back again so I just coasted to the return road. On the return road I took it easy, hit all 4 gears and it refuses 4th gear completely now. Initially after that 3rd pass, I thought my hand slipped off the shifter, causing me to miss 4th gear, but watching the in car video at the end of the day, it appears to have kicked it back and out of my hand. Shoulda known better I suppose, but running it through all 4 gears later sold me on being OK. Been planning on running the IRHA race at GALOT in 2 weeks. That's uncertain now. Planning to pop the top off the tranny either later today or tomorrow and see what I've done. Got a local guy that fixed it for me last year before I got it driving again, but he's a busy busy fella and I doubt he'll be able to get to it in time. Despite my failures, I still had a good day at the track with friends.

Assuming I haven't just cost myself too much in repairs, I'm sure I'll be back in time to run some CCRA and Gear Jammer races this season.

Y'all have a great week.
