What's wrong with these guys?

Long story short incorrect dial-in is on the scoreboard. Both guys pre-stage (therefore accepting the dial-ins). One guy stages, it is at this point that the man with the incorrect dial in realizes it. He tries to get the starters attention at this point.

This is where it gets weird. The starter then runs over to the staged vehicle (which now warrants a re-run due to starter interference.)

It is at this point the starter realizes he messed up, and makes the incorrect decision to send the other car down the track, as the green light has been on for 10 seconds or so.

Now the driver with the wrong dial in sits on the line, gets out of the car yelling and screaming (yes he should be mad about what has transpired here). However, if he keeps his cool he can easily claim the starter interfered with the race (which he should have effectively lost. he is lucky in this aspect.)

However, after throwing a big fit, he decides to drive down the center of the track, taking out 330, mph, and 660 cones purposefully. Now he warrants being thrown out in my opinion.

So again I ask, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE GUYS?

It's the big leagues. Their way or no way. LOL

How did he let them screw up his dial? They have burn out box boards at Montgomery.

You Pre-stage with wrong dial and you own it. No ones fault but his.

Welcome to the big leagues. Everyone knows you argue calls in the show. If you don’t get your point across you steal the first base bag on your way to the club house. In Big league drag racing you take out the foamies on your way to the trailer. This ain’t little league brother. It’s the big leagues.

The tower messed up getting dial in wrong, starter messed up. So the driver had a legitimate complaint. But that was not the way to handle it.

This is not the same as trying to run someone over in the shut down area potentially killing someone.

No he does not have a legit complaint! He pre-staged with wrong dial. He owns it at that point and there were 3 bulbs lit when he backed out. I feel for the guy but it's his own fault and driving over the cones is some Mickey Mouse Bullshyt.

That reminds me of a chrome bumper nova in Florida several years ago.

Driver messed up, then proceeded to show everyone what not to do. But will anyone learn from this or is it just another it's everyone else's fault moment.

Rule states Pre-staged Section 2 page 2 of NHRA rule book.

This kind of stuff has always gone on. The only difference is now it's caught on video.
