What a race ! Cory is unbelievable! To clear your head, after a wreck, and a bad one at that, is just incredible! Way to go Kid !

You have to put in the effort, to get anything out of it.

Guys, I am blown away with emotion, fear, and adrenaline!

My wife and I couldn't be more proud and my son...well, he has never had us more afraid and joyful in the same night!

This story has a great ending thank God and clearly could not have been scripted by any of us to happen the way it did.

My family's grateful for his safety and ability, keep in mind please, he knows errors were made and I believe he will learn from mistakes made. He is gifted and his parents are so happy and proud!

What a freaking ride!

Everyone was very happy to see Cory get through the accident, with no serious injuries. My hat is off to your chassis builder. The car definitely did its job of protecting the precious cargo aboard.

These things are always easy to judge, but having called what seems like millions of runs just like his, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He dropped like he's done so many times, but the conditions were not optimal for it, and it ended badly. I'm sure there is a lesson learned, but I'm also sure he'll use that strategy again in the future, with good results. He is a fine young man and a great driver. He didn't do anything 'wrong', but he could have done it better and there is no doubt that he will be prepared for challenging conditions going forward.

What he accomplished in the rounds to follow, was nothing short of spectacular. To be able to gather himself up to the point of remaining competitive after what he went through, shows resilience well beyond his years. It was one of the most courageous efforts that I've witnessed, and it was a blast to watch him proceed with so much on the line. You and your better half are raising someone special Chris. Keep up the great work. Congrats on an amazing day at the track, and a memory that will be burned into everyone's mind, for decades to come.

Was just a matter of time. Keep letting your kid drive like that its going to bite him eventually. My kids drive and if I ever saw them smoke the tires at the stripe they are done driving for that day. Not acceptable. Not saying thats what happened in this case but Ive seen some pictures with him driving the finish and smoking the tires on his dragster in past races.
Really glad hes ok but could have been a lot worse.

If you drive the stripe any at all you have probably had car out of shape at some point. He drove the way he needed to to win the round and conditions made something that could go wrong did go wrong. He will learn from it and thankfully nobody got hurt. For him to get in another car and continue on speaks volumes. For someone to be he would you should or I could have means nothing to me. You assess the situation at the time make a decision and move on which is what torq and his wife and son did. It does not involve anyone else but those three people. They made a decision and moved on.

Torq....you are one hell of a tire checker. Are you for hire

That was fantastic to see, congrats to both Cory and Kenny for awesome race. I wonder , out of my own curiosity, would a dead on dial 4 or 5 still won the round without the drop??

Hey Cory said in interview I messed up and drove little too aggressive. When a sport is played to the thousandths of a second and for big money stuff happens. Kid made slight error,it bit him but luckily not bad. Seems he knows it and learned. What is life but learning experience. Any who have never made a milli second judgement and gotten one wrong.please step forward.

Well I am glad to see he was not hurt and saddle right back up and get on a faster horse.
All of us everyone of us has made mistakes that cost us a round and some have caused a crash. He said he was a little too aggressive and I hope he learned from it. Does not change the fact that kid is good and has more balls than most people.

Congratulations Cory and whole family.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Isn’t Cory under age? Steve you could be in trouble for sharing that pic. LOL

Congrats to Cory and Chris on a great run.

Congrats also on the million win to Kenny Underwood. His win is going to get a little less press because of Cory but it’s still a great accomplishment.
