Why couldn't Jake Hodge settle his issues with Kyle Riley on his own.

This generation just has to go to Facebook for everything. No matter if Jake is right or not, Kyle probably would have a decent case for defamation on his hands now if he wanted to take it that far.

I'm not defending Kyle. I believe all racers should be treated equally. However, there is no law stating he absolutely has to sell all entries at the same price to everyone. I will agree its a shady deal, but there is also no proof this ever happened.

2 Sides to every story, and there are only 2 people who will ever know the true story.

There are 2 sides to every story, and I don't know which of these guys is right or wrong. But this isn't the way it should have been handled.

What about the preferential treatment of house cars and sometimes just plain cheating for them? I have no first hand knowledge of it just what I read in his post. If that is true then that is what would bother me the most.

He can't make anyone pre-buy who doesn't want to so that is on each individual.

Wrong there are 3 sides to every story. In this case the guy complaining on fb that he was fired, god’s self proclaimed chosen one and the TRUTH!

That said, there are no victims here only willing participants.

At least the man is making an effort to promote big-big money races if one or two failures happen along the way-well if you fail and dont try again thats true failure-cudoes to Kyle for having the balls to keep trin if you dont want to go dont but stop slamming him for trying

I have yet to see anything that would prevent me from going to an SFG event. At least someone is trying to put attractive events together. Promoters are taking a major risk with any event these days. When I feel like I can be competitive, I will go. Rarely do I pre enter anything these days, too many non racing related potential issues. Case in point, all loaded up to go last years NYN race at BMP. Got call 45 minutes before pulling out sister in law rushed to hospital. A month latter back to normal. Things happen.

Results count, have yet to hear of anyone actially being stiffed. How he handles his business operations is nobodies concern as long as he delivers.

I have seen promoters adapt and see no real issue either. Nobody has control of rain, fog or other impacts. I have no complaints with any schedule adjustments at events I have been to.

I've got no dog in this fight, and I have not participated in any events YET, but here's my take....
Good or bad, his program has caused other promoters to step their games up, he's been a leader in innovation.

I know there have been SEVERAL events that were total financial disasters, and he paid what he said.

House cars or discount entries don't bother me at all, the race is ALWAYS in MY LANE.

I do not believe there has been anything damaging to racers for his efforts.

Vetman and Markemark- I agree with your opinions. Huge RISK in these type of events, especially with several of them a year. The economy is stumbling for a lot of racers and time will tell if races like the "Millions" will continue. I just hope the $7000 to $11,000 in our area continues to grow, and they are Packed and affordable to lose (something a lot of promoters overlook). Of course the winner and guys in the split are happy but 94.5% leave with less than what the race cost to enter.

Here’s the FB posting today for Martin MI. All the other events that have triple 50’s will be the same entry and payout. The Black Friday Specials this weekend will reduce the pay at the gate entry fees you will normally pay if you choose to purchase now. My advice is if you purchase now to keep good records of what you purchased and the flyer that is with the event you’re purchasing.

In case you missed it the 2023 SFG Promotions, Inc. 1.1 Million returns to US 131 Motorsports Park June 27-July 1.

Defamation suits are usually based on false information, so there would have to be proof that what Jake said wasn’t true, an uphill battle for the plaintiff with text messages.
