I think this would be a great addition to our sacred sport of straight and fast.

I think it would be BAD addition but NHRA is in bed with criminals so why not a guy who had a bad reputation in nascar for many reasons.

This could get interesting.

Wish him the best if he decides to give it a try.

I would think there should be a good field of talent available right now for him to to put a team together with.

First time in a dragster and first time at Bradenton, and Tony didn't run over any of the orange timing blocks. Interesting.

Agreed. Good exposure and a true race car driver. Guy would race shopping carts if they had a class.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I don't see any down side to this but I doubt that he would climb into a Top Fueler.

It's rumored that he is climbing inside a top fuel racer. So it's the logical next step. Smile

Having met the guy when he was driving Home Depot car. NOT A FAN. Arrogant and treated cpl of fans in his hospitality tent like shyt. Never mind those guys probably where in hospitality tent for same reason I was invited. They spent butt load of money with home depot nd where the source of part of the money spent on his sponsorship.

Guess any advertisement thats free is good?

Couple things come to mind when it comes to top fuel now.
1. Beggars can't be choosers. We can insist on only the finest individuals to run in the class.....until there is no class to run.
2. A little controversy, and contention isn't always a bad thing. Look at some of the personalities that have been in our sport over the years. The ones with big personalities....even if bad ones, have garnered the most attention and entertainment. Tony is the guy that many love to hate. We could probably use that instead of all the politically correct, corporate sounding boards that we have come to expect from professional drivers.
