With all the no entry fee stuff he brought up and big payout promises, I'm curious how they're going to manage those pay outs. I assume big time sponsors, but that's a lot of money they gotta bring to the table. I really like what he says about allowing racers/teams to keep their merchandise sales. I really hope they succeed.

With IHRA being bought and sold so many times that does not give me a good feeling about future of it.

Does look like they are trying to step up the game and I hope they are successful.

IHRA has been a clown show for the last ~20 years. I'm not sure why anybody would think this is going to be any different.

There’s always that slim chance they can make it work.

I do hope they can make it work and with Presidential change there is much better chance than there was just a few months ago. The economy and racing should pick up some but many racers who have quit in last 4 years may never come back. We have lost a lot of racers in last 4 years, even if only 50% of those never return that would not be good.

Also with the way NHRA runs everything people want something more racer and fan friendly. Basically being only real game in town NHRA knows they can get away with it. NHRA searches you for food and drink like it is a Nuclear Bomb then ripp you off inside. IHRA let you bring a cooler in.

NHRA has most all of the really good 1/4 mile tracks wrapped up in long term commitments so Pro Top Fuel and Pro Stocks will not move back to IHRA.

So I think if IHRA is going to make it they do have to concentrate on Bracket racing and stay away from Professional classes. Street Outlaws, No Prep type stuff, Bracket racing, etc.

There is a small window of opportunity but with this economy and fact that Drag racing is dying a slow death it will be a tough fight.

I do hope IHRA can make it big but I do think selling it as many times as they have is a red flag.

Well the previous owners before Larry Jeffers bought it were garbage bean counters and have since gone bankrupt. Have you done any research on the new owners to say it's a red flag?

Absolutely not, I do not know their finances or how much they plan on investing to make it work. The reason I said it is a red flag is because IHRA has went through many changes in 20 years and that is not a good sign in my opinion. I do hope they are successful and improve IHRA.
