I'm really glad the bad version of this hasn't hit any of your loved ones.

Therein lies the truth. I've heard one guy on this board say he knew a guy that knew a guy (3 party) that got it and was pretty sick, but didn't die. So this is a nation wide, at least, site and in the members section I count 115 pages of over 100 members per page. So lets say 10k members active. And ONE has a 3rd party occurrence. Doesn't sound like an epidemic to me. I know of no one on FB that has claimed to have had it, to include friends and friends of friends and a couple of groups I belong to. No one I know personally has had it. Tell me again how prevalent this is.

I had it, my wife had it, 2 of our daughters had it. I was off work for 7 weeks. You only know what you hear on tv, Facebook and on here then from your answer. I can tell you based on my son who is an ER doc, another son who is a paramedic, a daughter who is a cardiac sonographer, and my wife who is a critical care RN that the amount of hospitalized people is on the rise in our area.

My wife gets offers each week for out of state work that is paying unreal amounts of money to RNs that will come to Texas or Cali.

The load on the hospitals and my family is my concern not what you heard third hand. Also just because you live through something doesn't mean it wasn't a big deal. At your age I hope you don't have to find out.

Curtis

What will tell us we are at the end of the virus? What will create the end of this pandemic? Why will it stop?

Excellent question. I believe it is less of a pandemic than it was early on or may not really even qualify now. With precautions things can be kept at a manageable level and life can slowly return to a normalcy of some sort. I just don't think we can throw caution to the wind and not pay some price for it.

I hope I'm immune but still worry about the rest of my family that's all. I may go a little overboard on wanting to protect people because it sucked so bad when I had it.

Heck my brother is one of the worst about arguing to not wear a mask and constantly posting things about it being a hoax even after knowing what we went through. LOL

I was told by a reliable source, when the over supply of Tents and sleeping bags are sold to the tens of millions of homeless, the objective of the operation will be complete.

Just read this on the CDC website. It certainly supports the argument for the skewing of numbers.

What do your results mean?
If you test positive

A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19. However, there is a chance a positive result means that you have antibodies from an infection with a virus from the same family of viruses (called coronaviruses), such as the one that causes the common cold.

Well nobody can say. Teachers don't want to go back with kids yet, but they can't tell me what the trigger would be that would make them willing to go back. Nobody can seem to look out any further than the end of their nose with this deal. When the media tells them to stop being scared of a virus that has infected 0.4% of Illinois outside Cook county.

The covid war is being waged, unfortunately, like all our other wars. That is, no exit strategy. Those with authority are derelict in their duty by not having a written exit strategy that defines the guidelines you ask about.

As usual she raises some good points. Trump is forever criticized for being anti science. But most of the state mandate have no basis I’d science. When it came to the federal guidelines, they followed the advice of experts on the matter. It may very well be that masks are more of a feel good placebo than anything

I would submit it's more a mind game of control and attitude/outlook conditioning. Every time we see a mask it is mental confirmation the world is dangerous and we must follow government rules (plural) for our safety. JMO

Most of the states have rushed to open and did not follow the guidelines put out by the White House. There was to be a 14 day decline in cases before reopening Most red state governors skipped the 14 day part to make the dear leader happy and now we are in a mess. The countries around the world have gotten their cases down low enough to do not only testing but contact tracing and that is why they are able to open there schools. The borders are closed by both of our neighbors because the cases are out of hand and there is no travel to other places in the world for the same reason. We are turning into a third world "s*** hole country" do to lack of Federal leadership.

Turn off the fake news, the country is not a mess, in fact the fake news isn't even reporting the number of fatalities anymore, because the numbers are miniscule. There's only 50% false positive test results in the fake news.

The only thing is a mess is the erratic news. Turn that off, take off your mask and poof, everything is the same as it ever was.

The country is only a mess according to the Fake state sponsored propaganda News.

There is no pandemic, if there were a pandemic the fake news would be reporting fatalities instead of 50% false positive test results.

Turn off the Fake state sponsored news. Nobody is dying, anymore than they would any other year.
