My local school system has a $6 Mil bond up for vote to buy 10,000 iPads for all the students! That would include charging stations et al. How quickly will the iPad, or at least the latest generation, be out of date and digital junk. The average digital camera is about 2 years and Apple has a much greater interest in turning over a higher volume item such as the iPad. And their resale value isn't squat.

Good point, technology moves quickly. What do top students do in Europe, India and China would be a much more responsible question.
