Fair enough. And we actually agree on a few things. What's this world coming to?

Bob, yes I did serve in Iraq during the 1st gulf war, I am not sure about what time period you are referring to, the total time of deployment or just the time that we were physically inside Iraq? In either case I was one of the 1st ones in the 1st Cav division to go in and one of the last to leave. I was the senior Tactical circuit controller in the Division, so as long as they (1st Cav) had a need to talk, I was there. What uniform did I wear? That would be a medium-long (6ft 180 lbs.)

Do democrats skip math classes?

Bill to cut funds for troops rejected

quote:
The lopsided 70-28 vote was predicted even by backers of the bill by Sen. Russ Feingold, Wisconsin Democrat, because it risked criticism for not supporting troops at the battlefront.

"We're not changing our strategy," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said shortly before the vote, adding that the tactic succeeded in making Senate Republicans claim responsibility for the war.

"We are united," the Nevada Democrat said. "We vote together all the time. And the Republicans vote together all the time, with rare exception. And as a result of that, it's very clear to the American people who supports President Bush's war."

The Feingold legislation, an amendment to the $648.8 billion Defense Authorization bill, drew 'no' votes from 51 Republicans, 18 Democrats and one independent.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AI...ATION/109210086/1001

1st of all harry Reid thinks that dems are united. Harry might want to check your math! The story says 51 republicans voted no, that can’t be, since there are only 49 in the senate. That would mean that 20 dems voted no, so I not sure how he figured “We are united” and “We vote together all the time.”

Democrat leaders can’t seem to add very well.

Did anybody else notice the wackado Iranian madman has the socialist donkey talking points down to a tee!
When him and osama are chanting the same tune as one of our major political parties it makes it patently clear who the true enemies of the United States really are!!!!!!!
Hard to understand their stance being it is the things they support that the terrorists find the most reprehensible!
Amazing where unabashed, uncontrollable vitriolic hatred will drive people!

Seems the socialist donkies are not as democratic as their given name implies!
Representative Brian Baird (D-Wa) is finding out that a socialist donkey is suppesed to blindly spout the party line irrespective of what the truth may be! His sin was going to Iraq and coming back and honestly reporting what he saw! He may as well be a leper now. Being honest with a conscience? He is in the wrong party!
Isn't this different then the way they treat GOP members that stray????????
The House overwhelmingly approved a resolution condemning the Petraeus ad in the nyt. Interesting, but I did not see any numbers? You don't suppose there was a deal so the ultra left-wing kook outfits will not be able to zero in on any of the traitors to their cause?
Hopefully the socialist donkies haven't realized that these leftie outfits are leading them over the cliff, like lemmings???????????

"Battered socialist liberal kook syndrome!"
That is the malady the socialist donkies are inflicting upon their kook base that was duped into believing them and put them into the majority!
They just flat a s s lied to you cut-an-runners, they never had any intention of bringing the troops home, the only way they would have come home is if they had been successful in cajoling President Bush into surrendering so they could have blamed him for the blood bath!
As usual the President ran rings around them and they are left blathering and gasping!
The Whitewater queenie pulled another classic diabolical duo flip-flop again last night when she answered a question with the precise opposite response to a statement she made not long ago!

Looks like you socialist lefty kooks had better line up behind idiot kucinich, none of the main line candidates on the podium the other night would pledge to have the troops out of Iraq by 2013!!!!!!
Aren't these the same people that campaigned less then a year ago on the promise that they would bring the troops home as soon as they were in the majority????????
Their excuses now are lamer then lame, they have the purse strings, they can cut off the monies at any time!!!!!!!!!!!
Stay bent over and keep the lube handy, they have more in store for you!!!!!!!!!!

So Bill,
If Hillary, Barack, and Edwards now have the same position as Rudy, Fred, Mitt, & McCain, you have to ask, who should America trust more to handle Iraq in 2009? The candidates who took that position early on because they thought it was the right thing to do, even though they knew the Democrats could use it against them at the polls, or the Democrats who've taken that position because they feel it's a political necessity after David Petraeus' testimony?

What is entertaining is the left-wing liberal rag washington post attacked russert, a leftie enabler in his own right, for having the audacity to ask the Whitewater queenie a mildly embaressing question!!!!!!
She must be getting rope-a-dope lessons from cassius clay the way she avoids answering questions!
When their entire platform is lies and smears how can they be expected to provide an answer to a policy question!
Add up the cost of the pie-in-the-sky stuff they have floated so far, and you have to add in the war cost until at least 2013!
As for the GOP candidates, I've had calls from about all of them asking for money. It's too early, so far nobody has gotten a dime!

Murtha Must Testify in Defamation Case
quote:
A federal judge refused Friday to dismiss a defamation case against Rep. John P. Murtha and ordered the Pennsylvania Democrat to give a sworn deposition in the case.

A Marine Corps sergeant is suing the 18-term congressman for alleging ''cold-blooded murder and war crimes'' by unnamed soldiers in connection with the deaths of Iraqi civilians in the town of Haditha.

The deaths became prominent in May 2006 when Murtha, who opposes the Iraq war, said at a Capitol Hill news conference that a Pentagon war crimes investigation will show Marines killed dozens of innocent Iraqi civilians in the town in 2005.

http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-Murtha-Suit.html

Just remember this dem supports the troops. (I hope to the tune of about 5 mil, LOL)

Joe

Just a note I am sure that murtha will say it was his “official duty" as a democratic congressman to libel this Marine and attempt to ruin his life. After all he is a democrat. Frown

The charges have been dismissed. Murtha destroyed these men reputation with out the men ever setting foot in court. He should have to be responsible for his actions. Oh, I forgot he’s a Dem, they slander service members at will.
