Q: Has President Obama taken more vacation time than his predecessors?

A: According to one count, Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush spent more time on "vacation" during their first year than President Obama did.

Presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton spent less time on "vacation."

Marines End 7-Year Presence In Iraq

American Withdrawal To Be Complete By Year's End

The U.S. Marine Corps wrapped up nearly seven years in Iraq on Saturday, handing over duties to the Army and signaling the beginning of an accelerated withdrawal of American troops as the U.S. turns its focus away from the waning Iraqi war to a growing one in Afghanistan.

I think you should worry more about the illegals and anchor babies that flood your state instead of worrying about Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania will do just fine without your help.

I do my research and it would serve you to do as well. Look up Rapid depolyment forces and see what it makes up. Different kinds of missions look at different "occupation specialties". Rangers, Seals, Marines, Delta Forces. No one is always first in and first out.

"first to fight"

Marines are always called on first for the really tough jobs. That's the way they like it.

Wes,
I believe the Rangers, Seals and Delta would disagree with you there. I think all the elite forces in the US military arsenal are great at what they do. I am, however, partial to the Rangers (hmmmm, I wonder why?)

I have been doing my search and I still will side with my Dad that the Marines are always "First In" or "First To Fight" as bd posted.

The mission of the Rangers (I know, got the tab) was of "special" missions. The Rangers go back into the U.S. history from the beginning to Roger's Rangers. The first modern day Rangers were trained by English commandos in England. The first really special mission was the scaling of the cliffs at Point Du Hoc by the 2nd Rangers commanded by a Texas boy, A&M student, James Earl Rudder.

The Rangers are an "elite" fighting force capable nowdays of nearly any mission, land borne, airborne, seaborne. They are some bad hombres.

Ranger training is nothing like it used to be. Ranger training in the early 70's was apparently a cake walk to modern training. Back then, all you had to have was some endurance. Being a Ranger was good. It got you some respect, mostly.

As far a large force going in, the Marines still get it done, first.

However, I am an Army man all the way.

Trust me BD, I can recite the history of the Rangers. I would also beg to differ on the "Always first in and first to leave" in conflicts. I know that the Rapid deployment forces of the 24th Infantry Division was on the ground, at King Fahad Airport, right after midnight on the morning of 6 Aug 1990. 3 days after the Rangers were up on the border already.

ehrlich, the guy who predicted in 1968 that the population boom was going to result in wide spread starvation world-wide in the 1970's is speaking at UNLV tonight.
This yokel has made any number of wild prognostications since then, none of them have come true, and the political correct leftists are still paying him fat fees to hear him blather on!

Q: Is federal judge David O. Carter starting a trial on Jan. 26 to determine whether Obama is qualified to be president?

A: No. This is yet another bogus claim circulated by persons who cling to a belief that Obama was not born in the U.S.A.

The judge threw the case out of court back in October.
