Dave, we have beat this issue to death as you can see the "old man, cowarbly, complusive liar" of sin city has grabbed your ass for a free ride. Dave, you are a hero to me as you have served your country abroad in many ways. I have high respect for you even though we disagree on issues. But I cannot understand why you would take the words of a "Iraqi interpeter" (most probably of Muslim faith) you know Dave (an Iraqi who has taken oath to kill all Americans as tooted by the far righties on this board) over the lives and testimony of 80 plus serviceman and perhaps as many as 700 exposed to toxic dust by info provided by our govt. at the hands of KBR. Soldiers were not informed the conditions of the site until 3 months of active duty at site. Latest info was the high winds were spreading the toxic chemical at the site. KBR is negligent and should be held responsible. As I have posted, I will believe our serviceman over any Iraqi... any day. Dave, no need to answer.  | |||

Bob only wanted to post that KBR had done something wrong.. He overlooked the fact it was still under investigation.. Only his liberal buddies are not guilty until they are convicted, and then he will continue to believe there were mitigating circumstances.. Anyone or any business opposite his beliefs do not get the same consideration.. He wants to tell me I'm taking the word of an Iraqi instead of the testimony of the medic who 's sworn testimony I referred to. Not to mention he conveniently overlooks facts according to the testimony that the chemicals had been used by the Iraqi’s before we got there, they had not been cleaned up yet.. Funny he wants to say there were no WMD and now wants to claim the chemicals were brought in by KBR. Last and he will consider this a slam on the military, but I can only go by the way we (my battalion/company) conducted business.. The commander normally does risk assessments with their staff before any operations are conducted.. Also a recon/briefing would have been conducted to find out any situations that may affect the mission. I have to question how they (military)could continue to perform a mission after seeing KBR personnel in chemical suits (gas masks) working and not consider the fact it could cause problems.. He11 during Gulf War I we were in MOPP 3 when someone f arted.. Which used to really piss me off.. So I can see how they may have worked in that situation with no protection.. My only beef with Bob on this is he has convicted KBR before the investigation/trial is complete, while he spins out of control. I’m guilty in allowing him to pull me in and arguing with him about it. Bob, It is truely amazing that you wanted to say WMD's adn connect them to KBR. Both untruths !!! The fact is that it is a chemical that was used to clean pipes, not for war items, and the military knew exactly what it was. The fact that they are sueing KBR is from a civil perspective saying that KBR should have informed them. The fact is our military leaders would have done the assessment that Dave is taling about. Now don't get me wrong, those assessments are sometimes done hastely and some decisions are made incorrectly. I will however side with the military's decisions on almost everything since I have confidence in the military chain of command. You just don't listen to the facts and you try to twist them to make them seem "catchy" to fit your own agenda, just like the Liberals always do. Great points Dave, dead on as usual.
