Look at the fuel jug rack that is on top of the wheel well as it saves a ton of floor space.

May do that but don't run the same fuel in both cars and would still need a place to hold a jug or two.

Was planning to install a jug rack on the curbside wheel box but decided to install a sofa/bed in that spot instead.

Do they offer the broke edge exterior sheeting? The ones where they are still riveted on but the rivets don't show because they on the sides of the studs rather then the outside, like some of the high end conversions do. I've always liked that look... whatever company that does the majority of the pro trailers (champion?) Does and man do they look nice.

Riveting the panels either on the seams only or studs too is an option, same as T&E and Gold Rush

Do you guys/gals actually sit inside a trailer with AC running, then get out to race?

I tried that once. Sat in my pickup to cool off. Got out to go to the lanes. By the time I got there I thought I was going to pass-out. It was a timeshot so I turned around and went back to the trailer.

After that I just sit inside the trailer and have a fan blowing air around, that works fine for me.

We get 90*+ days in the summer, 60% and higher humidity, it can be nasty, and the pavement gets too hot to stand on, the entire facility is paved, so sitting inside the enclosed trailers is the best escape. The awnings are nice if they can keep the sun off of you too.

Sorry Ed, derailing your thread a bit. Both of my big trailers are wired and braced for AC. I had a friend offer me a free unit, but told him no thanks. I stick with my fans.

no problem Mike.

This trailer as well my current trailer is braced and wired for AC. However, I don't sit in my trailer on race day and most likely will never install a unit. I too have a fan running on hot days for when I'm downloading and analyzing post run data. Then I'm out of there.

A suggestion on your fuel jug rack. I have a friend who built one that was vertical. He attached it to the wall and floor. Really was a neat idea and I considered it, but I got lazy and just bought one for the wheel well and a smaller one next to my couch.

If I were trying to maximize all the space I could, I would really look into doing that. Good luck!

Vern, I'm leaning towards having Intech build me 4 of these that I will stack two over two. One pair would be built with tubular bottom rails.

That would work. My friend did his out of some square tubing and flat iron as best I remember. He's probably still using it. I don't think he ever bought another trailer, his trailer was like a hundred years old. LOL

Ed,
With the 40lbs of weight of 5 gal of fuel I think the other would be better in the long run and last a lot longer. Think about all the bumps and weight distribution on those tubes as you go down the road. The first doesn't look as good but much more functional.

Ed why are you not putting the fuel jugs on one of the fender wells...I bought one from gold rush and cut it down a little and works great

Fuel jug rack - Would have to go on the fender well one way or another, youll be wanting that floor space at some point.
