I recently picked up a car that was being redone and not certified. Is there a person or resource to find specific rules on cage certifications before I waste the time and money hauling it to get certified?

I believe the specs for an 8:50 cage are in the NHRA rule book. Faster than that and you need to determine what spec you're building to and purchase the spec book from SFI Foundation.

I would PM David Covey. He is a tech inspector and Knows this stuff. Plus I would trust what he says.
