They look great and are finely detailed. I am delighted with the product.
Also, the owner is a one-person shop, so all the quality is on him.
Sent you a PM Larry

Larry, were they DLC axle, bushing or needle if you don't mind me asking?

I have heard rumors that there are a set of DLC lifters with excess of 3000 runs on them in a 700 inch BBC. Cant remember his name live in NC runs brackets and Top dragster with it..
Educate me here. Have used alot of different rollers in 35 plus years. Curently freshening a 555 with .904 and Jessel lifters.I just saw this post and first time hearing about BAM lifters. What would be the the advantage or disadvantage between Jessel and BAM? I have had great luck with all roller lifters I have used from 1991 and latter. But 1985-1990 had to watch them and always started new season with new and change mid season.

I’m my opinion being a machinist if you are talking bushed or needle bearings then there is zero advantage over Jesel.
Now the steel on steel version is different. It is a new design that has shown merit in what I have been able to find out. It’s still early and they aren’t wide spread in use yet. Hopefully as he grows quality control doesn’t suffer.

Thanks Curtis, I generally do not build all out max. effort engines but most are stout. Always interested in a longevity stand point purpose made part for these engines.

Yep Diamond Like Coating. Not saying anything about his other products I'm sure they are great quality, he has bronze and needle lifters as well. I was down to Black Mambas or DLC BAM. I went with BAM's. I think the DLC coating is a great idea. After looking into it, I see some piston pins with this coating. I have mild combination compared to most on here, I just wanted to go a high durability lifter. I don't have the wallet for Jesel, however I see they are selling a bushing lifter almost seems like their arm was twisted. Their literature says they believe roller needle bearing lifters are the best design. I don't know. There is point loading with needle bearings but they need less oil than a bushing lifter, lots of compounding factors in life of components. He did tell me to make sure and keep the oil clean, there is no special break in with the BAM. The black mamba does have a specific break in procedure.
Just a note. You can purchase through a dealer or you can have your engine builder (if they have a legitimate business, address, license) and order them. He will not sell to the general public. But was very helpful if you have questions. This message has been edited. Last edited by: BG7X77,
