Looking to increase cooling for transmisson. Have cooling coil and fan now that operates once at 160 I think is where it comes on. Coil size is in question. It is 6x12x1. Not sure manufacture. Plate style., figure a tube style more efficient and may do better job, Plate has more area. Not sure allows as much air across it. Running tube and fin or plate style, Size? How well it works? If anyone has run around system that circulates fluid with engine off?How much better? Thinking about building one or a pit cooler that have everything for except quick connections and way to isolate so circulates thru converter and pump. Oh not working on instead of alignment or issue. Just getting input on what is working for others. Since mine seems to be needing better cooling. America home of free. You could also run a oil to water cooler. I have though about doing this a couple times when im doubled. -------------------- Bob Payton S/P, T/D, S/C, TOP 309Z, 393, 3093, 8X93 www.apdracing.com www.diamondracecars.com www.callies.com

For what water.LOL Dry block and heads, billet heads and solid block. Only cooling other than one ion transmission is richening vleve fvor fuel sustem dumping extra alky into motor when want to drop temp. I know most have cooling system already to do. One reason looking at pit cooler setup. 2 quick connections and let'er rip. No added weight going down track is not bad side effect. America home of free. Brought to you by 2nd amendment.

I run a B&M canister cooler, similar to the Shogun Kool Kan. It's only warm to the touch after a run, and air temp by the time next round comes up. I've ran multiple rounds back to back and still never got hot enough to prevent me from being able to hold my hand on it. No fan needed. We make a lot of high gear only runs per year and regularly deal with transmission heat. All of my cars have standard coolers. Dragster has a fan door cars are in the grill area. I have a corded leaf blower and battery job site blower that both have a PVC T on them with a big hole under the converter and some smaller holes under the pan. Denis LeBlanc

Thats funny. I have pvc split syustem I build to connect to battery leaf blower. One goes down to oil pna area in belly pan and onme to hole in motor plate beside converter. Always find it ironic when two have same idea and never known each other, Had same thing happen with teammate ion A/fuel car. Bioth iof us had made fuel tanks for hot rodder that had fuel bowls mounted ion sides to control fuel flow usinf needle and seats. I have alreadcy moved coil and fan out of ****pit and to rear of car, Had idea would be issue in closed space but with it in ****pit the belly pan/floor with asorbent poad would handle any leak if had. Hat being right at times. Not only not cool best heated hell out of driver and candyass hates heat. Will look into cool can canister style. Hell Soince already on car could use both or all three since blower just lopit deal. Do like no fan needed with canister. Less on battery and less or equakl weight, hell with 100* out maybe big one to fit 6-0 210 driver.LOL Thankls had not thought about the canister deal, Have seen but brain ****. America home of free.
