My 2001 Ford Ranger got totaled when a guy rear ended me. Bought a new 23 Toyota Tacoma 4 door. I like most of the things about it but it's pretty gutless. I will probably have a tune put on it in the near future.

Wife's 2012 Lincoln was starting to show it's age and it had a lot of miles on it. She bought a 25 Honda Pilot and so far we love it. Mileage seems decent, it rides and drives great and seems to have plenty of power. We just got back from going to see the kids in Colorado and it zipped right up Raton Pass no problem. We didn't opt for all wheel drive but it is available. I wish my Tacoma had the same power.

My wifes 2022 RX350 awd has the same V6 (295hp version 6.8 / 0-60) and accelerates excellent for a suv.

We just bought my wife a 24’ atlas awd. Coming from an impala with 300 hp v6, the power loss really hasn’t been noticeable. Little more engine noise in initial acceleration.
The extended warranty was $3k plus. I’ll roll the dice at that price level.

What dealers charge for a “Factory Issued” extended warranty can be dramatically different. I paid half the price my selling dealer was charging, to a dealer specializing in “Genuine Mopar Factory Issued” extended warranties for the exact same policy.

I follow a forum specifically for the truck I purchased. Besides advice and help, when I received the vin # of my truck shortly after ordering, this forum was able to show me when my truck was being built, finished final build inspection and shipped. I had ordered the truck two weeks prior to the new model year build starting and many on this forum were waiting for their build to be on the assembly line.

There are dealer sales people that advertise Genuine Mopar Factory Warranty on this forum. Right now it’s $25 over actual dealer cost from one that advertises often.

The 23 Tacoma shows 278 hp. Even my wife says the power combined with a transmission that constantly “hunts” is a pain in the butt. We drove it to Colorado on the previous trip and there was no comparison to her Honda.

I have a friend who does the tunes and he offers a money back guarantee. Said he’s never had a single customer ask for the refund. Maybe in a month or two I’ll have it done. I’ll report back then.

Recently online there is a Mopar dealer (Granger Motors) selling factory “Mopar” warranties at $25 over factory cost. Don’t know anything about VW. Check the online VW forums to see what others may have purchased.

Over 2500 miles in, it's growing on me.
Watching the fuel mileage, taking 25 mile averages.

Auto stop always turned off.

Everyday errands and such, 18-24 mpg average...car wash lines and long stop lights drop that number quickly.

Took a spin down to the Ohio river the other day and at some 25 mile interval clocked 30.2 MPG, previous best had been 26.4

But, I didn't buy it for fuel mileage, just the comfort.

Overall still pleased with it.
Disappointed in what they give out for an owner's manual these days. Frown

I had to resort to rationalizing the price by amortizing the cost over 10+ years.
I'm too old to drive beaters anymore, sure can't send the wife out in one, so if I get to drive a stand up vehicle for 10-12+ years @ $3-$4K per year, it takes some of the sting off.

The Pontiac was $16K, we drove it virtually trouble free for 18 years, and 280,000 miles.
