many troll these forums just like you looking for the naïve, clueless and easily impressed to hook and make a sale. Looks like you've found one...inferno camaro. Too bad, he's not smart enough to smell the bullshyt sales pitch you're feeding him but he's his own worst enemy, knows nothing, bought a car that way beyond his skill, knowledge, capabilities and he's mostly on yb asking question after question for 2 years.

Inferno must've asked the right questions, he's going 4.90's Super Pro Bracket racing doorslammer.

You weren't born knowing anything about drag racing either.

Hot Rod magazine must've made a lot $$ tutoring you, from the looks of your tech.

Hot Rod magazine never got a subscription out of me, neither did any of the rags back in the day. I learned on my own and mentored by friends/racers.

That said, no surprise you are impressed by a 2300+ lb. car with an aluminum 632 on alky with a 1450 carb that made less than 1100HP that has run a best of 4.95 typically it's a 5 second player.

Meanwhile the nothing special cast iron 615 with a 1250 on gas in my dragster makes more power and would run quicker and faster in his car.

I am impressed power aside, for the simple reason Inferno's car has only 2" of compression stroke on the dampers. I'd say he's worked at pretty hard, carrying that handicap.

This is why we felt it wouldn't be right, we took his money. Without being able to fully help the effort completely.

There's more to the performance, than just the difference in weight.

The owner of the site Monty Mihko was a little triggered over this CONE KILLER photo, same as you.

It's what lefty's do when they don't have Evidence to support claims, call names, in this case change screen name. Lefty's like you and Mihko are like little girls in a temper tantrum when you can't support claims with Evidence.

Keep crying, lying and denying with Obama and Biden,

It's comical watching your crate engine, crate transmission , best engineered no mention of the builder of the Firebird tech.

You don't build or engineer anything, Fact.

I did collect about $11,000 and won about $13,000 that year in 8 races.

A friend won S/ST at the Springnationals at Columbus and told me he collected $15,000

A points race win was worth around $5000

1988 dollars

A really stickered up car could win 15-20 for a “Major” National Event.

The events always had the contingency payouts posted previous to the event.

Who was paying, for what and how much.

The bigger races were considered Major events and had 2 pages of Contingency payout info in National Dragster weeks before the event.

I could easily have collected $15,000+for that win and trust me I was aware of it as the rounds went by. I almost jumped the fence in the lanes to get decals I knew I needed with only a couple rounds left.

Back then many sponsors were happy you had their decals and paid without any proof that you had the products claimed.

I was featured in a number of ads after winning and one half page ad was for something I had and they paid ZERO.

That was definitely the golden era of NHRA racing! For at least another 10 years after that as well.

Cliff notes for anyone who doesn't wanna read the entire thread.

Edward is throwing a temper tantrum because it used to be possible to wally race for money and a couple of us let Edward in on this fact.

this time claiming that a national event win was worth $20k 15-20 years ago which it was not and which you wouldn't have a clue about and the $11k that6 Rich won 32 years, is a long way from $20k
