Anyone on here that welds know firsthand some days you're on, some days you're not. Especially upside down on your head at different angles. Really hard to have every single weld be 100%.

Just sayin ...........

Intech's chassis is built upside down on a table with the axles pointing up, then they flip it over to add the wall structures.

My trailer does in fact have the most recent update to the axle mount used on all Intech trailers no matter the size or weight rating. Stating no issues since update was put in place in late 2018 and early 2019 models and up.

As I said was very helpful and even updated my warranty information on my trailer from previous owner to my ownership.

I friend of mine checked his and it was built before 2018 and does have the bent AL plates supporting the axles that were welded to the main frame rails. I think he will leave that bent plate in place and sister it with a steel plate that will be bolted to the main frame rail. He hasn't been able to get under it to see if these plates have any cracks and or the decking support beam welds yet.

They will take care of it if he wants…

Not Intech but I thought I would share this. After seeing these broken welds, I was crawling around under my Cargo-Mate today checking the axle mount welds and found this. I guess they are an equal opportunity employer and hire blind welders. lol Found this and 3 cracks so far on just 1 side

that undercut in the top edge is enough to cause a crack.much less a bead not being on the seam

it is curtis but it shouldnt run over the edge and have the undercut which is a stress riser where cracking starts.the weld should have stopped just short of the end

Just inspected every weld under my trailer, axle mounts are all good and one side of one floor beam over the front axle the welds are cracked which is the heaviest concentration of load with the dragster engine above it, the fuel rack and generator over it and the Firebird engine just the other side of it. When I take the trailer back to Intech one of these days, I’ll have them sister that floor beam.

Finding just this, I’m very happy still with this Intech 34’ triple axle whose axles we placed as I wanted them, not as Intech wanted them.
