LOL, Bob. Of course it's insane. But waaay back when I first started, I had a 67 Mustang daily driver that I street raced. At the time I worked in a Oldsmobile/Cadillac dealership taking home 80.00 a week after a couple of years I got a 10.00 raise my take home was then 88.00. Single income. Married with a kid, paying rent, utilities and a car/insurance payment. I eventually took a second job part time as a body man. Don't remember my pay but it wasn't much. Still had a little left over to hop up the engine and start racing at the track. Everything I had I built myself and people/family thought I was taking from my family and blowing it on a car. They came first but after that it was the car. So yes it is insane, but it has always been insane. Compared to what I was doing on the income of 50 plus years to what I spend today. I'm still insane..lol Dave "It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance." -Thomas Sowell

Guys, I include myself in that "Totally Insane Group". I started with a 1952 Ford convertible in which I installed a 1953 303 Olds coupled to a Caddy LaSale side shift 3 speed trans. If I had a dime for every reared or axle I broke in the car I'd be sorta wealthy today. Back then the fastest fuel dragster only ran 150 in the mid 9's. They're a little faster today. Bob

Isn't the spending the same as always? Every penny you've got? ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

One of best posts of the year and you did not even add in cost of Gas (Doubled) and food and the cost of maintaining the car. https://postimg.cc/gallery/np3zpruo/ "Dunning-Kruger Effect" -a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion
