Multi viscosity is for start up. I'm hoping you're not pulling up to the line at 30°!

These are fairly tight clearances sbc.

Straight 30 Pennsylvania crude oil (green Kendall)

Motown block

billet cap, raised BBC cam bore

Callies Magnum, Callies Ultra rods 5.85

I can see that with an aluminum block.

If you ever assemble an engine with an aluminum block in play, put it in a oven. Like a auto paint baking oven, in order to calculate clearances warm. Works out killer!

Ask him kindly to write clearances down for ya. Oil is friction. Tighter clearances make less friction for sure.

I've tested the theory same crank, rods, pistons (rotating assembly), block and oil pump.
