Thanks for the info, M&M!

Rubber is meeting the road for the track today & I have car maintenance to do this afternoon. This is our annual Thanksgiving Bracket Nationals event & I have 6 races to run during the event.

Tomorrow is time runs & the Geezer Gambler race. Yes, I'm old enough to enter the Geezer deal. Wink

2BKING is still racing very well but needs to tighten up a few things in strategy. Got 6 races to make it happen to close the season. Smile

qtrrcr goes to the finals of the Geezer Gambler race. Scott came up a little short but a great race. I was watching from the Duck Pond. He's definitely an old school racer & still a competitive elderly racer!

Thurs. was a short day with a 1st round loss. I put down a good pass but my opponent was better!

I also found another problem I was having. I forgot to put in my expansion plug in my water/methanol tank. It messes with the tune pretty good.

I gave myself the Dumbazz of the day award!

Anyway, I have two races today. Hopefully my day goes better today. Big Grin

1st round win against an opponent playing stupid games & he got a stupid loss.

Bad thing is I picked up a hole in a header tube. I hate exhaust leaks, they sound like shyt! We patched it up with a double layer of coke can & a couple hose clamps.

Guess I have to make a trip to REF in Kingman AZ. for a new set.

My son won the Sportsman Claaa with his F250!

I went out in the 5th round with a broken header tube & I think I hurt the engine also.

BKINGs bad luck rubbed off on me Saturday also, 1st pass everything fine, 2nd pass lost .05 at 60ft. 3rd pass lost another 3 at half track. 4th pass lost 3 tenths at the finish line. Convertors gone south. I will be a crew worker today on the other two cars.

Not the way I wanted to finish the season!

Fern, my son races his F250, it wasn't a substitute. He locks it 4-wheel high, goes in deep, cuts killer lights & the diesel is very consistent. He was racing well & I was doing well with an upset race car. The exhaust leak was on the O2 sensor side & was wreaking havoc with the EFI.

I really wanted to have a win with my son on the same day.

Here's the pic of the exhaust leak!

2BKING thinks the motor is fine. Smile

No EGT.

I have to pull the motor the get the headers out. I'm probably going to have this set repaired & have a new identical set built. I'll have the new set ceramic coated.

What's the reasoning for this?

On methanol I found the reading change interesting depending the tune-up I was running.
