I'm not sure if I can get my race rig out of the back 40! We have standing water from .5+" of rain & more coming as I type. That's not good in the desert! I'm loaded & parked on our most solid ground, but.........................

Not looking promising from this picture! The rain is still falling consistently, supposed to end tomorrow.

I need to hook up tomorrow; glad I loaded the car yesterday. Big Grin I'm semi-sure I can get hooked up but can I get out? LOL!

You guys are funny!

The water has subsided a little. I moved my little truck into the shop this afternoon, it didn't sink in. I guess I missed the soft spots.

While walking in front of the trailer I did find some soft spots. Regardless, tomorrow afternoon I need to hook-up the dually & will use the 4-wheel drive. I'll wait till Thurs. morning to pull the rig out.

We had a gully washer out here at the track yesterday for 3 hours. I had just pulled into the pits when it started, and had rivers running all over, sun peeked out about 4pm, and said I don't want nothing to do with this and went away. Rained some more about 8pm for a short time. sprinkles this morning about 4am then quit. Chance of a little more during TNT today.

Hold down the fort Scott, hopefully you're getting some testing done!

Rubber is hopefully getting ready to hit the road tomorrow, I hope.

We don't have Lake King showing anymore, but it did start raining again. I still need to hook the dually up. The ground feels pretty solid, but proof will be when we get the rig out of the back 40!

Throw some sheets of plywood along the drive for the truck to roll over. I think my excavator operator buddies call them mats, for rolling equipment over sensitive areas where they don't wanna sink any more than absolutely necessary. Hope it dries up for y'all to have fun this weekend.

Live from the Street Car Super Nationals!

Haven't made any runs yet, as planned. Hoping to get one time hit in no-box but not looking good for today. Lots of breakage, getting cold & rain is coming!

Supposed to rain through the night & till 10am tomorrow. Getting ready to batten down the hatches & drink some beers. Plus, heat up some leftovers in the air fryer.

Some good news and some not so good news from the Oil Down Nationals here at SCSN 21 LVMS. First the good news, 2 hits, ran within .007 between both runs. Now the not so good news. Call to the lanes at 7:50 am, hit the track at 8:37am after 3 sprays and 3 drags trying to get the track ready due to cold temps. Conditions from 1st to 2nd hit were almost identical because 2nd hit was 14 hours later at 10:36 pm due to oil, breakage, stoppage for rain. My class was bumped back 4 classes to get some of the other classes on the track because of track prep from slick to radial cars. 28 class calls between my 1st and 2nd. Today, Friday, they are going to make up what they didnt finish last night and dropped 1 run off so we only get 1 hit today. Plus, as I am writing this its raining.

Not good ! Might be a blessing?
How cold is too cold? We’ve hashed this out before.

I think Scott stated the track temp was 38* yesterday day morning. That did delay the starting of runs yesterday.

We are still on hold today.

Yeeks… Good luck with the weekend y’all . hate delays. Colder temps make it even tougher. Hope things are improving out there. I got parked at CPD a couple hours ago. Rained enough earlier to cancel tonight’s test n tune. Thought I was prepared. Been 10 years since I’ve raced with today being my first go at it since early 2015 and my preparation, or lack there of is showing. I’ll be updating on the “Good Morning” thread once I figure out how my weekend goes.
