The Winters @ Willowbank Raceway .
Over 500 entrants including 80 grp1 , Top fuel , nitro funny car , doorslammer , promod , pro stock tf bike , pro stock bike .
I am running again in Super Street , 73 cars entered.
June 4/5/6/7 .
Should be streamed on YT @ Willowbank Raceway official for first 2 days . Sat/Sun should be on 7plus app, though Saturday may be YT .
I will be heading up Wednesday about 11hr tow .
Season has been topsy turvey so far with 2 rain outs , a mechanical and 1/4s @ the Nitros . But due to noone getting on a run I am still sorta close .

Happy Sunday y'all. Got a quick'ish race recap after my not-so stellar performance Saturday. Classic Gear Jammers race at Farmington. Had a great time, met several good folks and racers, and learned more that I hope to apply to my racing as I go along. Pulled up Friday afternoon and lucked out with a pit spot next to Fern. Thoroughly enjoyed spending time with him over the weekend. He's a wealth of racing history and overall life knowledge. I'm gonna work on attempting to get him to write a book about his several decades long racing. He's already emphatically said no, but we all know that really means yes... LOL. I only got in 2 test runs with Fridays t-n-t. Both runs, reaction times were super slow. 1st pass I made a mistake that I though I'd worked out of my system after my January debut. Mid way through 3rd gear I realized I still had my thumb on the line lock. Only 200'ish lbs brake pressure for staging, so it pushed the fronts well enough without them sliding. Felt pretty stupid when I caught it. only lost 2 tenths of ET though. 2nd pass, went well, but engine got pretty warm on the return road. Temp gauge hit 210. 1st time I've seen over 200 since having this car. Found the negative wire hanging out of the connector of the fans factory made pigtail. Looking it over, damm thing wasn't crimped at all. No clue how long this fan has been on the car, but cannot believe it's taken til now to fall out. Made repairs, and went to bed. Saturday, Car was great. Adjusted clutch pedal to quicken my lights up, which worked pretty well. Still slow'ish at .03 & .04, but far better than before. 1st round eliminations and I'm my opponents best friend. -.14 RED. Wasn't trying to push my luck and felt that I left on time. Assuming I may have rolled further into the beams than usual. Bought into the gamblers race for 1st round losers, and whattaya know,,,, RED again. This time -.13. Guess I got my brains scrambled by thinking I knew what I was doing. Great turn out of stick cars. My estimate would be in the 60 car count range, maybe more as they had 4 staging lanes full, front to back. Overall, had a blast, despite my shortcomings as a driver. I believe I may have had some measure of ptsd affecting me on the drive home. Felt serious eye strain, a big time headache and eyes were really bugging me. Fairly certain, it was from seeing all the bright RED tail lights and brake lights when darkness came. I believe I'm allergic to the color now. Red Face LOL.... Should I paint the car RED now???

Hoping to make it back there in a few weeks for the Stick Shift Nationals.

Y'all have a great week, and stay GREEN...

BTR,

It good to hear you & Fern met up at the track!

Last year I met up with RPROGAS/Bob last year for the 1st time at his home track & again earlier this year. It's always a pleasure to pit next to Bob!
