OK guys, found the shift shaft nut loose. Apparently it was stripped during assembly. I inspected the shaft threads & nut threads, they looked good. I installed a washer under the nut/star washer. I was able to tighten to about 20 ft. lbs. Not much threads to engage. I was tempted to epoxy the threads & nut.

I got the new Hoosiers mounted while fixing the transmission.

Tomorrow is a new day, I'll race it & check the nut when I'm done tomorrow. If it loosens I'll epoxy that shyt on.

Thanks guys!

The car was fast on them new Hoosiers. It was on a 5.678 run, thank goodness for the good light!
Thinking about slowing the reactions a little for the next couple runs.

M & M, thanks for posting up the screen shot.

I was hoping someone was going to post the losing screenshot. I screwed up the run on many different areas. The main one being -.007 red to my opponents -.005 red.

Tomorrow morning is the Brodix run for 50K, time hit. Then the big payday race follows & I'm entered. TGIF

Good morning, it's cool out & have a pretty good headwind & supposed to get worse. We have pretty much been running with a tail wind up until today.

Should be a fun day!

I'm totally lost on my reaction set-up. I didn't think the 1st gear change would affect the car this much & the new rear tires aren't helping either. My set-up was to keep the front tires on the ground. The wheelies aren't working for me. Mad

Other than having a stronger gear set, IMO I cant see going from a 1:76 to 1:80 gear making much difference in the reaction time. .023 red is just a miss

The issue is the wheelies. The old trans we had it set up to keep the front tires on the ground & drive out. The new trans is picking up the front tires.

I removed all shims from the long travel switch. Plus, I tightened the front shocks on the extention. Trying to keep the front tires in the beams.

2BKING is lost, might as well do it up good. Roll Eyes
