I am antibody testing before getting any vaccine. I had a pretty decent case of covid, so I ought to have antibodies for a while. Some say 3 months. Some say 6 months. Used to be a year. Putting off getting chipped for now.

I'm just curious how that works.
If the vaccination is working,I would think everyone would have Covid antibodies when tested.

I'm curious why you would think that?

I'm not a doctor, but it just seems logical that antibodies would be detected after maybe a month or so of having the vaccine?
They already have said that you still can get Covid, even after a vaccination.
Maybe antibody testing would shed some light as to why some people are getting vaccinated, yet still getting Covid?

https://khn.org/news/article/t...er-being-vaccinated/

Basically we are teaching our body how to create the response to the virus without needing the virus to do it.

So if your body already has detected Covid antibodies, why the vaccine?
Why aren't they doing that test first?

That I can't answer right now but will find out what I can.

The short answer I got is that if you recently had the virus then really there is no reason to get the shot.

It’s easier for big government to use a blanket than to give many different situations to decide when to get the shot.

Ya'll must be from a different planet, here in Florida nobody is wearing a mask. People are rebelling against the BS.

Nobody knows anyone dead or dying, nor sick.

TV programming can convince the sheep of anything.

I wouldn't take a injection for $50 million dollars cash.

The local CVS was offering an antibody blood test.
As far as I know,I never had Covid.
But I decided to do the antibody test.
I have confirmed IgG Covid antibodies.
So as far as I am concerned,I'm good for now.
Makes me wonder how many people out there might already have antibodies present.

I think checking antibodies is just plain smart.
We would have sworn after 5 quarantines from school and being around my wife and I who were very sick for weeks, that my son would have antibodies. Nothing. We were hoping to shorten his last quarantine. But since he has none, we couldn't. Maybe the most contagious ailment that we have seen according to some. Yet my son goes through 5 quarantines and unmasked around two very sick people at home and in cars.....and he never got it. How does that happen?

How does it happen that my wife comes up negative on the antibody test? No masks in our house,no social distancing, and sleep in the same bed.

I have one of our daughters who would get Strep sometimes twice a year when the kids were still home and in school. Why she was so susceptible to it I don't know. My wife had to be careful because she would get it also.

I always took care of this daughter when she would get sick. We had her stay in a room by herself and disinfected as best we could to try and keep the other kids, (5-7) depending on what year it was, from getting it. Sometimes others in the house would. Different kids when it got brought into the house. I never got it.

Even after this daughter went to college and again got Step I had to go get her and take her to the dr. or hospital depending on how bad she was. This virus would always hit her hard. Still never got it. I have no idea why. Maybe I was more like Typhoid Mary and was the cause. Who really knows? I have never had Strep even as a kid and have been tested for it multiple times when I have been sick.

Vulnerability factor, youth is virtually immune, old people die and everyone else has a lesser degree of getting sick.

I had a mild case of covid almost a year ago. Typical fever, ache, chills and loss of taste and smell. I'm finally getting my taste buds back. JW Scotch is starting to taste good again.

Over 3,000 people have died soon after getting Covid shot out of 160 million people. On the Flu vaccine usually less than 100 people die for every 160 million people getting vaccine. Odds are still pretty good but something they do not want to talk about.

Those Pesky little facts.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Good odds. But the question is "did they die of covid" or something else?

Could have a lot to do with the fact that the first crop of us vaccine recipients are OLD and have other conditions.

A very good local drag racer and the son of another good drag racer died last week from COVID

52 years old, healthy and was gone in 3 weeks

He was very well liked by all who knew him and it was a shock to us all

I did some engine work for him over the years and he was a great competitor and friend, he won many races and was surely going to win more...

You think it can not happen and make all these posts about bah-blah-blah.....

Fact is it can happen and did to a great racer and person well known in my area....and is a very painful reminder that anyone can lose their life to this virus.

Thanks it really got to me.
He was a great guy and I have known him 30 years
My son is the same age and that hits home since he has had some respiratory issues most of his life.
His parents are great people and it's a tragic loss for them and his wife and friends....

It's interesting that those who don't respect personal liberties are always smarter and always know what's best for other people. Then throw in some emotion, like my son was the same age, and you've got some real emotion driven opinions. I'm OK, you're OK, to each his own, live and let live. The opposite of head in the sand might be enlightened idiot. But then that would be judgmental of me. I'll simply do what's best for me and let others decide what's best for them.

Well it is starting and dont know how it is even legal since the vaccine in experimental. I work for a medical device company and got this from one of the vender credentialing companies today

Dear Vendor -

The intent of this notification is to provide guidance regarding Houston Methodist requirement of all vendors who come onsite to a Houston Methodist facility or clinic to have the COVID-19 vaccination by June 15th.

The reason for this requirement is an unvaccinated vendor/contractor could potentially pose a direct threat to our patients and employees.

For onsite access, we will not accept any accommodation for unvaccinated vendors or contractors at this time.

If you have received your vaccine, thank you and please go to your Symplr account and submit your vaccine documentation
