got to hang in there at least till the next episode of Below Deck, where we find out what happens after Captain Lee ended his current charter early because the drunk decided to jump overboard for a swim in the dark of night.

Fla has opened up the vaccine to 65 and older. Has been for a few weeks, but supply is short and the distribution and process to get one is strange. In my county, they had a web site for reservations, but it blew up. Now you email your request and wo feedback, hope you’re on a list. I don’t think they are reserving the booster version, so those lucky enough to get the first can expect it in a timely manner.
The really bad part is only about 15% of the manufactured vaccine is getting injected. Warp speed is not going well

What is the sense of trying to vaccine retired people that can stay home and not have to go to work instead of the actual work force? Sounds pretty counterproductive. And before the old ****s get their shorts in a wad I'm an old **** too. My money is direct deposited and don't go to work, no big deal for me to stay home safely and amuse myself.

Larry,
Of course you can. But you'll have to be careful it doesn't have any mufflers.

My wife got her first shot last night. She broke out in sweat right after for a couple minutes. It went away and she felt fine. No issues as of this morning when I left for work, she didn't even have a sore arm.

The kids have yet to get their second. It should be soon.

They are still not available here. Probably saving them for the Governor, his Family and the State Legislature. Us Pion's don't count.

Anyone know when over 65 year old folks will be able to get the vaccine in S. California?

Bob, all 3 health care workers in my family that have gotten it. The youngest son, (paramedic), isn't sure when he will be able to get in line.

Edit: Just found out a daughter in law that works for a dentist got hers also. Just a little soreness in her arm.

It's been 3 weeks since I got the first one. Once I talk to Ft Hood I'll go for my second. Arm was sore for a bit was all the issues I had.

Got an email today from HCA chain of hospitals asking if I wanted to be on a vaccine list since I am a credentialed vender and considered a front line worker. I do work in hospitals, in surgery to be exact but I don't consider myself a front line worker.

Kinda on the fence about it right now. We have had several in the field get Covid and had one of our machinist back in the factory pass away from it, he was in his forties..

If the democratic states would have got there act together us old folks would have been vaccinated by now. 20 million doses sent out and only 2.8 million folks vaccinated. REALLY!

That’s Sad! Too young. It’s not worth me taking a chance. I’ll get it. Underlying or not knowing you have other issues.

Just an update for you guys. My wife got the shot Thursday evening. Yesterday she had fever, bad chills, headache, dizziness and body aches to the point that she just stayed in bed all day. It lasted from morning to early evening. She was better when we went to bed last night. She is doing well today but tired.

No other family members had any symptoms at all. We are mid 50s. The kids are all in their 30s.
