Brian did you ever mention how fast you were running back in the old TAD days compared to now?

Ahh, the old T/AD days.

For those of you that may not know, back in 1993-1993 we ran T/AD in D2. This was with a new (at the time) Brad Anderson Hemi that was Cory Mac's backup engine before he switched to T/F. It was 445cu in and of course backed by a three speed Lenco. The car weighed 1960 with me in it. We were not able to run with the top dogs of that time such as Blaine Johnson, Jay Payne, Bill Barney, Darrel Russell, The Bartones, mainly because we could not risk grenading the engine like they were able to do. That being said we did manage to win one race and runner up at two.

The best we ran with that car was a 5.98@230 .995 60', 3.87 660'. This was with 40+ lbs. of boost and a 4.56 gear.

Compare that to my current best with this car .932 60' and 3.73 660' probably a mid to low 5.80@240+ if I were to run the long track. With a Chevy a Powerglide and 3.70 gears at 30 lbs boost. Weighing in at 2000lbs, of course the engine is 95 cu in bigger.

Amazing what advancements in tires, blowers, engines and transmissions/torque converters will do!

I went and picked up a set of stainless headers with Borla mufflers this morning for a customers car. Got a side out for a friend in Vegas for his 3k Honda generator. Loaded up another blower belt(Nitrous mother bottle)into the trailer and now at work finishing up the 53 Bel Air for a customer. Just another Saturday.
