Bender sorry about that deal, I wonder how much force is needed to pull a stud right out of the head. Glad to hear Moe had a good time even with the breakage. Hope your trip home was a easy one !

On a blown engine the exhaust valve has to open against some pretty high cylinder pressure (and the valve spring) so the exhaust rocker/pushrod/lifter are highly stressed, that is why I run a 9/16" pushrod on the exhaust, just found the next weak link.

I bet you have some serious ex pressure going on there! We see ex tip roller issues from time to time.

good thing it was on the exhaust side and not an intake!! I always put those steel inserts on the exhaust rocker stand studs or they going to pull out eventually.
