Tuesday's racing action wrapped up at the end of round 5. Not sure of the game plan.

They did complete Tuesday's warm up yesterday.

Only got through 2nd round of Wednesday's race. It's going on now.

Heard they had 49x go down the track. Flyer said capped at 400. Not sure what the decision was there.

Shady. I have no idea how they plan to finish any of the 50s at this point. They are gonna have to start combining them.

I been watching while I can. I was supposed to be there but I have a claim in at Spirit airlines and Priceline!

Anyway to run a race to completion the next day seems asinine. Mix them in first round and buyback. Even if you put the finalist into 2nd round, I don't think many would mind.
Unless a lot of people closed the Peek A Boo lounge last night, I'd be pissed starting first round at 1:07. I'd probably be the one closing the lounge though!

I have never understood why they do not run first round while waiting on the finalists from the previous race to cool down and finish.

Eliminate the buyback rd or make it buy back direct to 2nd rd and all run together.

Have to have the buy back round to pay the purse.

I don't understand why they didn't get them to 16 or less and start 1st round, then mix them in. I dont think weather is a factor.

First round today started approx 1:05pm Est. I bet it will still be running at 4:00. Pretty sure you can run 16 cars in 3 hours.
I'll be interested hearing from the racers that attended after the event. I've been texting a few but nothing has been said about format.

First round ended approximately at 5:50pm. Started at 1:05.

What are they thinking?

Seems like a horrible run race! Buy back will probably end around 9:00. Who wants to sit at a race track that long without knowing a schedule.

The only way I'd run a race like this is if I could go home for the hours of dead time!
Luckily, the racers have MMTV to keep up but still can't go far.

If that's how it's done in the Big Leagues, I'll stick to the little league.

Pay attention: Keep cars on the track! Pair clears the finish line next pair should be staging and the next pair in the water. No break between classes, last pair of door car is staging first pair of dragsters is in the water. And when the lines get short, same way. If you are not there to bad, don't wait for the slackers. That would probably save 3 hours or more. I know some will disagree but there is to much wasted time.

What kind of racing do you do? Have you ever been to a big money race? How long do you think it takes to run almost 500 cars?

I'm guessing if he had of stuck to the original 400 car count that he advertised things would be moving a little faster!

Events like this are filled with MH / Totars and many are doubled entered. When not racing between rounds they can get away inside these.

Budget racers like me tow using a half ton, hotel it and single enter. If I win 1st rd, I close up my trailer and leave for lunch or the hotel. Follow the race on my phone and know when to return. Getting away from the event between early rounds works well for me. If winning 3nd rd it goes perty quick at 17% of the field remaining.

I was at the track. Pretty seamless but easily an extra hour or two wasted. Part of it is 5.90-6.50 door cars going across the start line, slowly backing up, taking 20-30 seconds of extra time. Adds up in a hurry with 500 cars. I would think, with the room most tracks have; no door cars across the start line, 1 warning, 2nd time you are out. The main concern should be getting the races done, treating everyone fairly, in my opinion.
As for buybacks vs re-entry; When you take 92 more entries that were planned, the profit is there, buybacks would save hours over re-entry.

I have been a racer for 50 years, these bigger money races are getting crazy slow but with 500 entries I guess racers aren't really concerned.
