wonder how many cars are on property not how many entries. good for promoter but it cut them out of a race even though they combined the two.

i was looking for our friend as well and was going to be pulling for him to do well. i just thought i missed him or something.

They had ot combine the other races so they could add buybacks back to the format. No buybacks really must hurt the profit I guess.

Adding doubles really tainted what was almost a perfect big money race that was very successfull for may years...just my opinion of course lol

Still a good race and yes I have participated in MANY of these events

Funny how multiple people have mentioned that they combined two races into one, yet no one mentioned that they added $40,000 to the purse...

670 with no buybacks makes the same money as the 540 with buybacks they had last year.

The biggest thing I believe they are accomplishing with combining the races is just making sure that they get done at a reasonable hour on Saturday so people can start traveling home.

i thought it was understood everything was double in pay out and 40k added to the top. on Petes behalf, not sure any other promoter would have added the 40k. except Beard of course.

Sorry, thought that was understood. I don’t think the vast majority of the people there would be in any real jam if they had to stay and race Sunday.

They just talked about that. Stuff will be moving in for the national so they have to have everything out of the way on Sunday.

They had a burn down and the starter sent them back for about 10-12 pair. No time for that. LOL

Chris did a good job getting to the quarters last night. Congrats !!

As for the cold temp post from last night, I agree with others… low humidity and great track prep made for safe racing. Tonight it was in the mid 50’s, still early and Bogacki was wiggling around in the semi’s. Wonder what that was all about?????

Do the math on the now added buy back and that 40k added is nothing. Of course he didn’t have to add it, but still, the buy back was added to cover it and some.

Do the math on having the two 30K's as scheduled with buybacks (whether or not those races could be completed), and the net is $40K more, which is what was added to the combined event. I'll admit, that's the first time I've ever heard $40,000 referred to as nothing. They also eliminated buybacks on Wednesday, which was a net difference of another $40,000 (which was obviously the right call). Again, the decision to combine the last two $30K's seems to center on time and the overall participant experience rather than financials.

They also added a $5,000 free entry consolation shootout.

Ediot,
I didn't say anything about truth and facts. It was about your stinking attitude.
