You've been watching TV again haven't you? Confused

This is the new system they're rolling out. I warned ya about three years ago.

Just do what the TV authority tells you, don't think, don't learn. If it ain't on TV coming from official sources, it ain't credible.

No, I deal with facts. My race partners GF and daughter have it pretty bad. His brothers side has it too. Along with my sons neighbors, three of them have it now. Hoping they all get through it without hospitalization. This is the most I’ve seen local.

I’m sure it’s there too.

Nope! I still haven't talked to anyone who is sick, was sick.

This is FLa, where Americans live free. We're the patriotic resistance.

The last bastion of Americana.

Stay where you're at.

I'm kinda surprised that there isn't more attention to or data for antibody testing. Perhaps it's moot since we have workable vaccines. My wife got a quantitative antibody test, but there is virtually no data to compare against publicly.

This. ^^^

Additionally, I'm surprised that there has been zero talk of making adjustments to the vaccine to target the delta variant.

That hits on a question of mine too. the message seems to be that the vaccine is more effective than natural immunity against variants. Why? There has been no good explanation about this. Seems it was developed for the very version that Most Americans got. But then who knows? My wife and I got ill after the talk of variants started. So it was assumed we got a variant. But when I asked the clinic for my test results and variant type, they had nothing. It was a binary result. Positive for corona. No other information. So are we more protected from the first version or the variant? Who knows? It seems that this bug that has brought our country to its knees for various reasons, has very little in the way of actual useful science being used to combat it. JMO

Believe that is a card that will be played down the line as needed when the current hysteria starts to wane. Leverage to keep the "pandemic" alive and not simply dealing with a virus, one of many, among us. If logic is applicable the flu vaccine changes every season, and now that we've had a variant I would expect 19 to follow suit.

I'm curious to hear people's take on why we dropped to such a very low level of infections earlier this year? Why are infections rising at such a rapid rate? What is different now?

My opinion, which isn't worth $4.42,is that the vaccinations have played a role in this.
Everything seemed to be going well until there was a big push to get a vaccine by July 4th.

Well depending on which pro vaccine group you listen to, we might be inclined to believe that the vaccines, and maybe our natural antibodies are less effective against the newer variants. I think the numbers would support, but not prove this. Maybe it's just flu season starting.

A friend has it, the guy who jack knifed his trailer on the way home from the big radial tire race at SGMP.

He said it's like a bad flu, his girl has it too and she was vaccinated beforehand. They've both been home a week.

He's saying the vaccination is total BS. He caught it from her.

Kinda funny how the flu just dropped off the charts. Social distance, masks and clean hands work. How much data do you need?
Come on down to FLA and get a case to go! Roll Eyes
Things had to open up but numbers are right back up due to non distance/ masks and non vac. Delta defiantly way worse spreading.

Maybe, my wife does have a couple of Flu patients in her ICU. They are losing an average 2 people a day right now to Covid.

I really wondered what people thought.

Well something worked. But we can't say with any certainty which is was. Although when people are staying home locked down, obviously they aren't able to spread it. Clean hands? masks? Where is the data? Controlled/blind studies?

No, not anything but common sense. What else could it be? I don’t buy into the bs studies either.
