Seen some pretty off numbers this weekend in Vegas. I'm not there, but a lot of good racers are. Been told some reruns were asked for but denied.

Anyone remember these.

Scott it got windy and stuff was flying all over. Brian Warr lost on one of those wierd reaction times and no rerun. Sad deal.

When everything is coming your way, your probably in the wrong lane.

Scott, thanks for showing the Accutime timing system starting line breakdown but remember Vegas still runs a Compulink system there. In the bigger picture the starting line setups are the same philosophy for beam heights.

Larry, how does trash blowing around cause a redlight?

Turk, I've caught wind of Compulink now having tracks install blocks for beam tracking like Accutime has installed for years. Finally catching up I guess.

Scott, interesting you mention red lights as actually it all depends if they had guard beams turned on in those classes. Usually they are reserved for national events. Guardbeams work opposite of the stage beams. Meaning a spider, dirt or hell sanddust could trigger it causing red lights. You said really high winds during the event so that could be a big factor. By no means saying that was the issue but fits the description your talking about. If they had guardbeams off in the classes then it opens up to other sensor issues out just the fact that the high winds was making the cars react differently and timing system was fine.. really need the actual data to see how many reds and if it was just in 1 lane or both ect

Just got off the phone with Brian. Time slip was way off! Video looks like red on before car left..
Major div and nat points implications!
Overlaying runs now .
Won’t post his et slip without him ok with it.
Rumor was some laid down for others? There’s no way that happened!

Scott, paper passed thru the beams before the car left. Similar thing happened to me a few years back. Guess what no rerun either!

I'll let my son Rob post regarding his red light in the TS final, should not have gone red with as much delay as he had in the box.

Two finals in two events, no Wally.

Trash though the lights happened to me once (At Palmdale). I ran a 2. something 1/4 mile time so they put me back in (Thanks Bernie).
