You talk out of your ass that you sit on all day and then make the statement about your super metabolism Roll Eyes which btw has nothing to do with healthy eating or being healthy.

Basic Paleo. If you can hunt it, fetch it we eat it. Round-up chemical is showing up in almost all cereals, grains, wheat, corn, oats and the processing has taken all natural goodness from them. No sodas, no "diet food" and eat all the protein you want. In 6 months lost about 35 lbs, BP dropped to 128 / 75. Feel great. Play 18 holes with ease and just simply don't tire out/
Have not had a sandwich or fast food in 6 months. We are eating probably 85-95% natural foods and contrary to belief it doesn't cost much more because you will eat less of them as you actually get full without the carbs.

It is NOT a diet, it is eating in a way our digestive system is intended to process.
Milk? Nope, why are we the only creature on earth that drinks the milk of another animal? I'll pass, water and fresh fruits and mix in a little tea and all has been good.

Good luck to all of you if you are searching for a better way to eat. Personally, I think it is STRESS not diets that will kill you faster than anything. Get happy in your own skin and relax.

"1500 calories a day is more than enough for the average person's well being."

Curtis, somebody like him that's only 5'6" can live on 1500 calories a day no problem. Laughing Hard

What is this "gluten" stuff and do dragsters have any? Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I meal prep every 4 days about 15-20 meals in tupperware containers. Brown rice, steamed broccoli, and chicken. Sometimes sweet potatoes, 90/10 ground beef, and brown rice. Each meal comes to $1.87 (give or take), which makes it a lot easier for me to skip eating while out n about because I know how much I'm saving.

I don't add any seasoning, food is fuel and I don't care what it tastes like.

If I could give one tip, it would be choose complex carbs over simple carbs. You'll burn them all day long opposed to simple carbs that spike your sugar levels and trigger your body to store it as fat.

A lot of truth in this thread.

It comes down to, do what works for you. Burn off more than you consume if you are looking to lose weight.

For me, over the last 11 months, I have eliminated pop (soda or Coke, depending on where you're from Big Grin ) and start every day with at least 1 glass of water, and continually drink water throughout the day. I will have iced tea or lemonade on occasion, but 90% of the time it's H2O. Side note, I think diet pop and diet anything are awful for you. More chemicals, stuff that messes with your body and brain. Much more soups, fruits, and vegetables, a lot less pizza and wings. I still enjoy them and other tasty food and treats, but nowhere near as often, and in smaller quantities. Moderation, as mentioned, is a big key.

Have just been through the kidney stone thing. It wasn't any fun. Drink plenty of water and lemonade or limeade. That is all for now. Have a great day!

you are what you eat and to some degree that is dictated by the lifestyle you chose.

I have never been overweight, always lead a healthy, physical and very active lifestyle. No drugs ever and alcohol rarely. Always worked out to some degree. Been going for yearly physicals and every 6 months to the dentist for decades.
Few 10 years younger than me no mind my age are in as good shape.

That said, I could drop dead tomorrow. Shake head

As far as calories, we are all different and yes Ed, most of us tower over you. Weight control is based on calories burned. Period. Phelps eats 12,000 calories a day and is probably in better shape than any member on here. I can loose weight on 1800. But it doesn't matter if it's 1800 in ice cream or spinach. What would matter then is where I'm getting nutrients from. I had a friend that dropped dead at the finish line of a 5k run. He appeared to be in much better physical shape than me. You should do what makes you feel the best. We're only going to live as long as our Father allows.

But, if you have weak friends, please die skinny for them.

I cut out as much sugar as I could. Drink plenty of water, eat a healthy lunch and a reasonable dinner.......... If I could just lay off the Rum and Dr. Pepper, I'd be golden.

I don't drink a ton of alcohol, usually 2-3 drinks per week, but I started drinking good whiskey just so I could cut out the Coke from mixed drinks.
