Can Big Labor Learn to Love Hillary? They’re the organizers and activists that are key to any Democrat’s presidential hope. And right now, they’re feeling anything but active. When Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy Sunday, the response from one of the major unions had all the enthusiasm of a slow clap. Clinton’s record with unions is pocked with support for positions that were decidedly unfriendly to organized labor. It wasn’t just her support for free-trade agreements which guys like Trumka hate so much. It was also her ties to companies known for outsourcing—ties that then-Senator Barack Obama used to bash Clinton in their 2008 campaign face-off. “She is a corporatist,” said John Miano, treasurer for the Programmer’s Guild in New Jersey. As several unions gather on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to protest upcoming congressional action to give President Obama trade promotion authority, not-presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) will be by their sides. They’ll argue that the authority would deprive Congress of the power to block bad trade deals—leading to lost jobs for American works. Clinton, meanwhile, will be in Iowa, far away. In a June 2014 interview at the Council on Foreign Relations, Clinton seemed to indicate to moderator Richard Haas she would support giving the president the ability to “fast-track” trade agreements—the opposite of what Big Labor wants. look no further than former Clinton campaign chief—and current New York City mayor—Bill De Blasio. He didn’t endorse Clinton on Day One, mumbling some vague concerns about wanting to see her agenda first. (As if he hasn’t known her well for decades.) “We haven’t endorsed yet, we haven’t made a decision what we are going to do in the presidential race,” Lee, at the AFL-CIO, said. The last time she ran, the friction between Clinton and labor became a weapon. The Obama campaign used Clinton’s connections to outsourcers to bash her. “Her record raises serious questions about her ability to create and protect American jobs,” Robert Gibbs, then-communications director for Obama’s campaign Of course the mistrust between some unions and the Clintons runs deep. In one of her books, Hillary Clinton noted labor’s dissatisfaction as her husband’s administration prepared to push the North American Free Trade Agreement through Congress in the 1990s. “Creating a free trade zone in North America—the largest free trade zone in the world—would expand U.S. exports, create jobs and ensure that our economy was reaping the benefits, not the burdens, of globalization,” she wrote in Living History. “Although unpopular with labor unions, expanding trade opportunities was an important administration goal.” http://www.thedailybeast.com/a...to-love-hillary.html

Entitled: Hillary Clinton Parks In Handicap Spot While Ms. Clinton could become the second oldest president in our nation’s history and has suffered some serious health issues, there is no record of her being so infirmed she is entitled to take a parking spot legally reserved for someone who legitimately needs it. Foreign Cash Made Clintons ‘Filthy Rich’ Hillary Rodham Clinton used her clout as secretary of state to do favors for foreign donors who gave millions to her family foundation — and who paid millions more to her husband, Bill, in speaking fees, a new book charges. Records show that of the $105 million the former president raked in from speeches over 12 years, about half came during his wife’s four-year tenure at the State Department. Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush Beating Hillary Clinton in New Florida Poll Mason-Dixon released a poll on Monday which shows former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla., and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio have the lead over Clinton in Florida, which is expected to be the largest swing state in the 2016 presidential election. “Bush and Rubio are ahead because both are running stronger with independents,” insisted J. Bradfrod Coker, the managing director of Mason-Dixon, in a memo accompanying the poll. Bush beats Clinton 47 percent to 43 percent. Both candidates do well with their respective parties but Bush leads Clinton 46 percent to 36 percent with voters outside the major parties. Clinton leads with voters younger than 35 but Bush does better with other age groups, especially with seniors. Bush runs strong in the north, central and southwestern parts of the state but Clinton does well in the southeastern part. Men go for Bush 54 percent while 39 percent back Clinton, while women lean Clinton’s way 46 percent to 42 percent for the Republican. Clinton gets 92 percent of African-American voters but whites go for Bush 57 percent to 32 percent. Hispanics go Clinton’s way, 45 percent to 38 percent. Rubio does even better, besting Clinton 49 percent to 43 percent, carrying the same parts of the state that Bush does and winning over voters outside the major parties by 9 percent over the Democrat. While Clinton still runs strong with African-Americans and Rubio overwhelmingly carries white voters, the candidates are neck and neck with Hispanics. Clinton has the narrowest of leads over Rubio with that group, edging him 46 percent to 45 percent. http://mason-dixon.com/wp-cont...INTON-BUSH-RUBIO.pdf

Hmmmm............. The right wing New York Times reported "Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation as Russians Pressed for Control of Uranium Company". Canadian company Uranium One, making it one of the world's largest uranium producers in three transactions from 2009 to 2013. Hillary Clinton was among those who signed off on the deal while she was Secretary of State. Canadian records also revealed that during these transactions leaders of the Canadian company gave donations to the Clinton Foundation, including $2.35 million from the Uranium One chairman's family foundation. Those donations were not made public despite Hillary's agreement with the White House to identify all donors. Just after Russia announced its plan to acquire a stake in Uranium One, former President Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank linked to the Kremlin. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04...setType=nyt_now&_r=0 How much was that bet you made with me Bob?

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) performs the best against Hillary Clinton in a hypothetical presidential race, only trailing her by two percentage points, according to a Quinnipiac University National poll released on Thursday. In the matchup between Rubio and Clinton, 43 percent of voters supported Rubio and 45 percent supported Clinton, with a margin of error plus or minus 2.7 percentage points. Although Rubio is clearly rising in the estimation of the national electorate, Clinton is almost certainly falling. This poll found that Clinton’s personal favorability rating is now underwater, with 46 percent of respondents holding a favorable opinion of her compared to 47 percent who do not. 54 percent said they do not believe Clinton is “honest and trustworthy,” compared to just 38 percent who do. But perhaps the worst finding for this poll from Clinton’s perspective was on the matter of whether she “cares about the needs and problems of people like you.” In this poll, 47 percent said that she does while another 47 percent disagreed. http://www.quinnipiac.edu/news...etail?ReleaseID=2221
