Baltimore mayor ordered police to stand down Despite a firm denial by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, a senior law enforcement source charges that she gave an order for police to stand down as riots broke out Monday night, raising more questions about whether some of the violence and looting could have been prevented. The source, who is involved in the enforcement efforts, confirmed to Fox News there was a direct order from the mayor to her police chief Monday night, effectively tying the hands of officers as they were pelted with rocks and bottles. Asked directly if the mayor was the one who gave that order, the source said: "You are God damn right it was." Baltimore Councilman Slams Obama and Mayor: Baltimore City Councilman Carl Stokes (D) criticized President Obama and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (D) for referring to rioters in Baltimore as “thugs” saying, “just call them n*ggers” in an interview on Tuesday’s “OutFront” on CNN. ‘Just Call Them N*ggers’ Baltimore flip-flop: When did ‘thugs’ become a radioactive word? Why on earth are we having a debate about the word “thugs”? Isn’t that an utterly appropriate term for people who set police cars and buildings ablaze, loot burning stores and capitalize on an unfortunate death by destroying a community? And given the seriousness of the issues raised by the Baltimore riots, how did this become a linguistic discussion? President Obama complained about the “thugs” who rampaged in Baltimore after Freddie Gray’s death in police custody. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake complained about “thugs” as well—and was careful to spell out who she meant. She made a sharp distinction between those who protect peacefully “and the thugs who only want to incite violence and destroy our city.” But the mayor, whose performance in this crisis might generously be described as erratic, took it back a day later. “There are no thugs in Baltimore,” Rawlings-Blake declared. “Sometimes my own little anger translator gets the best of me.” This is just PC run amok. The Islamic State terror group (ISIS) Tuesday issued a claim of responsibility for Sunday's attack on a Texas cartoon contest featuring images of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. The claim was made in an audio message on the group's Al Bayan radio station, based in the Syria city of Raqqa, which ISIS has proclaimed to be the capital of its self-proclaimed caliphate. It is the first time ISIS has taken credit for an attack on U.S. soil, though it was not immediately clear whether the group's claim was an opportunistic co-opting of a so-called "lone wolf" attack as its own. Lone-wolf terror attack could come at any time: A lone-wolf terrorist could attack the United States at any time, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson warned Sunday. “We’re very definitely in a new phase in the global terrorist threat, where the so-called lone wolf could strike at any moment,” Johnson told ABC’s Martha Raddatz on “This Week.” “It is a new environment, but we are not discouraging Americans from doing the things they do on a daily basis.” Homeland Security secretary Augusta Warrior Project Gpa

US President Barack Obama meets with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef of Saudi Arabia in the Oval Office of the White House, May 13, 2015. President Barack Obama's summit with Arab leaders doesn't seem to be going as planned. First, King Salman of Saudi Arabia embarrassed the Obama administration when he backed out of the summit after the White House announced he was going to attend. The last-minute move was widely perceived as a deliberate snub, and the Saudis offered only a vague excuse for King Salman's absence. The Saudis just went nuclear on their Obama snub Saudi Arabia Promises to Match Iran in Nuclear Capability Augusta Warrior Project Gpa
