The time has come for me to upgrade my fuel system in my bracket/index door car. Making a little over 700hp with a little more coming. Gas, carburetor and rear mounted tank/pump. I'm looking at the MagnaFuel QuickStar 300. Who has been using MagnaFuel pumps successfully? Any issues? I would like to use Aeromotive stuff, but the cost is a little out of my budget..... I like Magnafuel, Had mine for over 3 year. I hear Aeromotive is good also. But everyone I know uses magnafuel so that is why I went with them. Jerry Meziere Tech. Make sure your water pump is on whenever you check your coolant level.

When I first got my car, I had a magnafuel prostar 500 on it. Didn't have any issues at first....when I stepped up my hp, I started having fuel starvation issues. Since they were local to me (when I lived in Colorado), I figured it would be a no brainer to call them and see what was going on. I had to replace the seal in the pump due to leakage, but other than that it looked brand new inside. When I told them what my issue was, they told me they couldn't help me until I bought their regulator first and tried that. I was running a BG four port that I'd previously used on my old car with an Aeromotive A2000 pump with zero issues. That kinda pissed me off so I called Aeromotive. The guy on the phone asked about my setup, what was going on, etc. He said it wasn't a fuel pump problem, it was a plumbing issue and told me how to fix it....Never once tried to sell me anything or say I needed a certain part to work. Because of that, I pulled the trigger on an Aeromotive A3000 setup and never looked back. Since I'm MFI now, I only use it for my nitrous setup. Way overkill for that, but has been flawless. Because of the way Magnafuel treated me, I pulled that pump off and sold it. I won't ever run them again. Kinda like I won't run ATI again either. Best advice I can give you, call Aeromotive and talk to them. I think their pumps are superior to magnafuel anyway as they continue to develop them, where magnafuel just offers what they have for years.....It might not cost as much as you think.... Brian I have a Magnafuel 500 on my car and it does work fine but I'm not overly impressed with it. It's a struggle to get the high side pressure down to a reasonable number. I'm only making about 575hp on alcohol. My best friend is putting together a Procharged small block car and has used all Aeromotive stuff. After having seen their stuff up close and seeing the fit and finish I will go with them from now on. The help and knowledge they have given him is second to none. There stuff isn't cheap but it is really nice. JMO ____________________________ 2017 and 2018 Osage Casinos Tulsa Raceway Park No-Box Champion 2018 Div4 Goodguys Hammer award winner

Magnafuel has a lower pressure relief spring you can swap out. Your issue is usually a result of running a 16v battery system with that pump. Product Engineering is a better pump, they make the parts for Magnafuel.

I have an Aeromotive A2000 fuel pump coming back from Aeromotive after a full rebuild this week, if anyone is interested it’s for sale! We switched our bracket cars to mechanical pumps this winter. Nick Craig 1971 Camaro Split Bumper 376ci LS3

Gonna put another plug in for Aeromotive. Just called them to order some stuff for my pump. Going through the website, the parts total is $49, but shipping to here is almost $90. Not gonna pay that, so I called them to ask if they can send it via post office. They don't normally, but they are going to take my order and hand carry it to the post office and send it via small fixed rate box which will cost me less than $10. How's that for customer service?
