Absolutely go with the 139 tooth flexplate and starter. No more broken teeth and much stronger than 168 tooth deal.

For us lower HP, lower bucks guys, I was pleased with the TCI 168 tooth unit I bought in '21.
Made in Mexico, but it is a nicely done piece.

The 168 tooth and 139 tooth flexplates are basically same diameter but the 139 tooth has fewer and LARGER teeth so they do not break off nearly as easy.

I have used the TCI and CRS 139 tooth flexplates with good success / never broke one single tooth off. With Mechanical injection it will often kick back and break teeth off. Not with the 139 tooth flexplate. The Maziere billet flexplate looks really nice and is probably very good but do not know if you need to spend that much money.

To convert to 139 tooth flexplate you need the Flexplate of course and the starter nose gear. You will also need the starter mounting block which can be used on most all mini starters. Simple and does not have to cost that much yet MUCH better.

I run the JW The Wheel. On my car, I lost et and mph going from that to a standard weight flexplate. When I put one back on, I gained the et and mph back....light weight isn't always faster as many think...inertia is your friend in drag racing....

Kinetic Energy can be your friend, particularly if you are a drag racer. A weight (lbs.) in motion (RPM) can aid in the accelerate of a given mass (car).
